Master MOHAMMAD HOSEIN SHAHRIYAR, is one of the greatest poets of the recent century, and that is because of his rich and strong poetry, variety of artistic creation and more important than all, his words attraction and stream of words. In the realm of Iranian literary criticism, for many years, all literature experts praised SHAHRIYAR and his marvelous works.
MALEKOLSHOARA BAHAR, in regard to poems of SHAHRIYAR says: he is not only the honor of Iran but also the proud of orient.
When SEYED MOHAMMAD ALI JAMALZADEH faced the early creations of master SHAHRIAR, wrote: all 117 bits of master were full of kindness and joy. And none of them were weak, to tell the truth, every bit was better than the previous one, with more weigh and meaning. And praised this TABRIZIAN poet who is proud symbol of Persian language. And I have recognized such poets are the best tools for promoting the Persian language in national boundary and out of the borders. Poems of SHAHRIYAR, not only captured the heart of Iranians, but has also influenced in vast territory, outside the borders of this land. But we have to think about success secrets of SHAHRIYR works and ask ourselves: what are the reasons?
SHAHRIYAR was born in a religious and educated family in a village. When most of the people were deprived of education, was an advocate, a career which requires a considerable level of literacy. Life situation of MOHAMMAD HOSSEIN BEHJAT TABRIZI, in childhood and teenage time was full of science, knowledge, principles, religious rules and conditions, and also was filled with people`s cultural elements. If we add simple life of villagers and their attractions to the mentioned above beauties, and consider the talent of little MOHAMMAD HOSSEIN, we can understand well the source of his talent, ingenuity and skill of the master SHAHRIYAR. Cultural habit of his family, prepared the access of original resources of Iranian Islamic culture, which means holy Quran and works of SAADI, HAFIZ and FERDOSI for MOHAMMAD HOSEIN. And from the early days of life, the delicate boy was in touch with verses of Quran, literature and stories of SAADI, HAFIZ and FERDOSI. And by all these rich sources, great infrastructure was made in the mind of our master. Talent of the master SHAHRIYAR is made from two cultural sources: He has great skill in culture of Persian literature and language, and also in Turkish literature and language.
A research in works of SHAHRIYAR, indicates that he master was knowing all minor and major poets in Turkish poetry, even unknown individuals like: ADAM VAYQANI, whose works are transferred from chest to chest, and also made survey about works of MOLLA MOHAMMAD FUZULI, MOLLA PANAH VAQEF, VADADI, NASIMI, HAJ REZA SARAF, ALI AQA VAHED, SEYED AZIM SHIRVANI, MOJEZ SHABESTARI, SOLEIMAN ROSTAM and many others. by knowing these things, one of the rich and attracted secrets of SHAHRIYR is recognized. He was knowing 3 important languages of the Islamic civilization, so master was knowing how to use the rich resources of the Islamic culture in wide range.
Now here, we have to insist, even though master was knowing the Persian, Arabic and Turkish cultures very well, but he was not aware of other cultures in the world. The wise article which master was written entitled as: styles and isms of the poetry in his own poetry journal, shows his deep and wide knowledge about western literature and also shows his delicate and criticism in modern literature. Another secret of his rich and attraction poetry is his mastership in Persian language. SHAHRIYAR did not learn the language from literature notes, but mastership in this language is because of his talent, accuracy and understanding of people`s thought. He was understanding the culture of the society very well. the main difference for elements of local people`s culture, which we can count in front of the specific culture, are the elements of public culture are made by wide range of persons and not by few members, while specific culture is made by individual minds. Involvement of broad masses in constructing the elements of the common people`s culture can`t be eliminated and is not in single stage, and it is considered to be a long process with multiple stages. A saying, example, phrase, irony, song and many more in the first stage is provided as a core through someone, but this raw matter is trained in the chest and language of the society, during the time. And this exercise should expel unnecessary things and then must shine by adding proper parts. And as a result of the process, just like a gem will shine on the feelings and understandings of the humans. Therefore we reach to this conclusion that, even though SHAHRIYAR, was having poetry talent, but also he obtained lot of knowledge in Persian, Turkish and Arabic literature. And these reasons made master SHAHRIYAR, an international poet in our era.
