Also in habits, first God forbidden them of the capital sins and then the minor ones whereby could finish educating of a nation. It must also be added that of course all laws have been gradually revealed and in a case that was needed decisive and certainly, with no grading the rule has been issued. The rules concerning murder, theft, getting the property of the people, eating and fraud in transactions and adultery without negligence and carelessness and absolute tolerance has been suddenly revealed and sanctioned. So, it is true that most of these sanctions happened under the matured judgment of wisdom of God in Medina, but in any case was expressed emphatically and with certainty. However, where necessary, the revelation has been gradual.
This gradual revelation is in concordance with human nature and especially changes in human society, and this agreement between divine tradition in social changes and human nature is a sign of God's and another reason for receiving book from God. It is because every hour and every moment read to them of story of the prophets and early nations, their fate what had come to early nations and those promises that God has given to His worshipers such as victory m reward , verification and compliance and has retold all of them.
(Verse) they brought no proverb to you, but what we answer truly and with better interpretation
Over time, various events and circumstances occurred. These events brought new issues and the Quran came down in line with such events and God adjusted His rules in line with them.
Some people greeted the prophet and asked him some questions whether these questions are to check his prophesy as in response to the enemies' question in surah of Kahf verse of 83 said:" they ask you about" Zoulgarnein" say: yes; I read his story to you so; whether these questions have been for clarifying and cognizant of God's judgment like his promise in Surah of Bagareh, verse 219 they ask you how they help those in need and in verse 220 , they ask you about the orphans ; you reply them it is better bring up them well.
Undoubtedly, these questions were raised in different occasions and there were no room for the prophet to avoid them or go around the bushes unless answering to them was revealed in different occasions. So, along with these events God's judgment was provided and it is clear that these happenings did not occur all at once and happened gradually. Thus, there was no way that Quran came down gradually and explanatively. As in the event of scandalizing Aisha, holy prophet's wife, in Surah of Nour said "those who told such a big lie are a group of you, do not consider it a lie for you and every one will be rewarded as much as his deed and the one who accepted that action ,will tasted a huge sentence. Furthermore, of more examples are tree verses at the beginning of Surah of Mojadeleh that in which Khūleh, daughter of Salabah complained her husband, Aūs Ibn Sabmet who had backed to her, to the prophet and argument him. They had a small daughter that if given to the father, she will be starved to death. At this time, the verses of Surah of Mojadeleh revealed to the prophet. However, , the Muslims sometimes made some mistakes and to correct their mistakes and guiding themselves , sought the best solution of the prophet. So, without argumentation these problems happened in different occasions and reforming them ought to be made on that time, too.
However, a judgment superior than this gradual revelation has been internalized and that is the guidance of people to the source and origin of the Quran and that this is the word of God and nothing else. In other word, this can not be the word of any creature. Holy Quran was revealed over twenty years and in a variety of different events of suffering and joy, war and peace, tranquility and chaos and in all these circumstances the divine revelations with uniformity and perfection have remained rhetorically and with miracle from the beginning to end. However, as if it is melted silver that once it comes out of the bushes and there is no disintegration in any holes of it and all of it is like a gem. So, its end is like its beginning and its beginning is like its end. Indeed if it was belonged to one other than God, it would cause many conflicts.
Apart from this aspect, we see the gradual revelation in three general aspects:
1- The issue of prophesy: on the issue of the verses coming down in Mecca or Medina; the verses of came down in Mecca are expression of general face of beliefs and it is in civil verses the rules of Shari'ah and general guidelines appear.
In the mission of prophesy also this evolution is well appeared. Firstly, it is the invitation of close relatives and then invitation includes other people and after that it becomes general and finally it comprises people around the world, as well. Of course, this does not mean that the Messenger of Allah at the beginning did not think about inviting all people to the way of God. But this gradualness, have been adaptive with time requirements, otherwise, Islam from the beginning, universal invitation to all people at all times have been the same. So, the people who say that the Prophet Muhammad at the beginning has just thought to invite and preach The Quraysh and his relatives and did not think to others for many reasons of Quran, in fact, they have passed the way of falsehood , slander and calumny .
3- Progressiveness in style: at the beginning, it is the soft speech, guidance and good advice and it has flexibility with enemies and then the stage of resistance the abusers arrives and then jihad decree is being issued.
However, it is natural that if the revelation was once, this gradual process of invitation and the mission of prophesy in another way will be ineffective.
