Most stingy prince of PAHLAVI

GHOLAMREZA PAHLAVI is the second son of REZAKHAN MIRPANJ. He was born on 25/2/1302 (Persian date) in Tehran. His mother was TOURAN AMIRSOLEIMANI, the third wife of REZA SHAH. TOURAN is the cousin of VOSOUGHODOLEH. This man was the main factor in 1919 agreement, they wanted to make Iran as a British colony, but could not implement it.
GHOLAMREZA, passed the military school and high school in Tehran, then went to study in Switzerland for two years and returned after that.
In 1320 (SHAMSI), England government forced REZAKHAN to leave the throne. So the said prince along with some of his brothers and sisters accompanied the exiled king to Mauritius Island in South Africa and remained there until the death of father. Then moved to Cairo, and after that America, studied in Princeton University. GHOLAMREZA, studied about armored tanks in Fort Knox College and after returning Iran, joined the military academy and graduated with officer degree in ride course. At this time his elder brother, MOHAMMAD REZA, appointed him as special inspector of army.
In 1328 (SH), for military graduate courses, had gone to France and entered academic college of Paris.
GHOLAMREZA was not involved very much in politics, and mostly was following his luxurious life. However, in 1327, when MOHAMMAD REZA, was in England for a small period, appointed the said prince and other two brothers by name, ALIREZA and ABDOLREZA and also prime minister, head of national assembly and 5 well known and trusted persons as members of the royal council for the administration of the country in his absence.
In 12 ABAN of 1333, ALIREZA died in a plane crash in GORGAN Mountains. He was remembered as crown prince, after this incident, there was a rumor that, GHOLAMREZA will be the next crown prince, but with the birth of REZA, the matter was abandoned forever.
During the clashes on 30 TIR 1331, when people demonstrated in to the streets in opposition to government of the GHAVAMOLSALTANEH and in favor of doctor MOSADEGH, it was said, a group of soldiers commanded by GHOLAMREZA, in parliament square have shot at people, his arrival to the scene to defend the rule of GHAVAM, was not without the reason, AHMAD GHAVAM was the brother of VOSOUGHODOLEH and cousin of GHOLAMREZA`s mother.
GHOLAMREZA, by using family status and his job in the government of his brother, could get lot of companies, institutions and farmlands for himself and his family, some of them are: PARS SHAHR agro stock company, GOMISHAN Agro Industry Company, MINOUDASHT farm unit. In Tehran also, by using the same situation, seized high grade lands and converted them to buildings. By this way, he earned huge profit.
GHOLAMREZA was having lot of posts, when his brother was king, for example: head of royal special inspection, special adjutancy of king,
head of Iran`s national Olympic committee, head of army sport association, president of royal armed forces sport. He received a number of side-degrees like: PAHLAVI sign, army first grade medal, 28 MORDAD sign, coronation and golden armored medal, however, documents of American embassy in Tehran states that, he was non-ambitious, impersonal and not intellectual person.
GHOLAMREZA, like other members of the royal family, before the victory of Islamic revolution, fled away along with his wife and children and settled in England.
After the victory of Islamic revolution in Iran, in 1358 (SH), the Tehran Islamic revolutionary court has sentenced him to death in his absence and his property and assets were confiscated in favor of the oppressed foundation.
GHOLAMREZA PAHLAVI, among PAHLAVI family in spite of his great assets was a famous miser, even in first anniversary of his elder brother which was in Cairo, did not participate in the name of poverty.
GHOLAMREZA married twice, first he married HOMA ALAM in 1326 (SH), this marriage`s result was 3 daughters and 2 sons. In 1340 (SH), he married for the second time with MANIJEH JAHANBANI.
