Characteristics of Islamic Revolution From the perspective of the Supreme Leader
Being with the people of the Islamic Revolution is an important character which has been manifested in the name of "Republic" of the system. Being with the people of the Islamic Revolution is different from two aspects with being with the people of other revolutions. First of all, being with the people is the essence of Islam and is not something out of it. With this explanation that Islam was revealed for the people and for directing of them from Almighty Allah, Therefore always considers their salvation and deliverance, and such religion considers the presence of the people in the implementation of the rules and defending from their privacy from their basic principle. Of course these are the deprived and oppressed masses who have the most support and defend from the religion, it has been proven whether in the beginning of the Islam or in the Islamic Revolution and the best reason of this issue is that attention and support of Islam with all properties including justice from the people. Second, Islam maintains people on stage truly. Falsehood and lies in the presence of people has no way in the aspects of revolution.
Supreme Leader said: "The second feature is Being with the people of the other – they that really was revolutions after his victory, they were ignored about the most of people. We do not pay attention to the Coups and military actions, and so. Revolution has been created by the people all over the world, but then it was won or is on the eve of the victory of the revolution, they put parties or party in the place of people and people went to edge. Like communist and socialist countries in the world that the systems of many of them come with a revolution and people involved in it and they had helped to the revolutionary and militant groups. But In these countries as soon as the revolution came near the victory or was won, people were no longer act and party do all work [i.e. the Communist regimes] people did not even have the right to send a representative to the legislative assembly. In any of these countries, that in the so-called has national congresses and is the same legislative assembly of them, representatives of the people are not present. It had nothing to do with people ... just its name is popular [democratic socialist government] While people do not involve in any matter of public affairs of the country. In our country the revolution has given all roles in the affairs to the people. It means that Parliament where is legislation place, the People constitute it and representatives of the people go there and no one has the right to restrictions on the people's representation. President who is the executer of affairs and Director and the head of running the country. People choose him with their vote. Authority with the public. This situation that is in Iran's presidential election, is not existed even in democratic countries of the West. Because in those countries parties lining up against each other and every party noted a named of a person as a candidate man. People who vote to that person, In fact, they vote to his party and many of them do not know him at all. In Iran, the selection is not as this way. In Iran everyone who put his vote in the fund knows that person and they voted him as president.
The people themselves are involved in choosing the executive director and Head of the executive branch and even in the choosing of leader. As you know that the position of the leaders is a divine position and is depend on the divine and spiritual and real criteria, again the people involved. As you see, the assembly of Experts which are the representatives of the people, get to gather and select a person. If the Assembly of Experts chose someone who is not accepted by the view of people, so leader will not be chosen again. So these are members of the public who in addition to choose the leader indirectly-from the Assembly of Experts – they has opinion directly about the leader and has decision and comments, decision and will of them which in fact, makes a leader as a leader and give him the possibility to capture and power to orders.
The result is that the system is robust because it is popular. The government that can be destroyed by the great powers is the government which has not relied on people. A government that foreign enemy can force and provoke four people to coup against it, is a government that has the power but the people are not connected to it. People go for themselves and he moves for himself. A system in which the leader, the president, the Head of the Judiciary and Parliament, are based and connected and interesting of the people and they supports it is the Islamic Republic that not the US and its allies, and not East nor West and nor no power cannot not only disintegrate this government but also they cannot shake it.
