One of Iran’s beautiful attractions, the field is situated in Chelgard, in Chaharmahal Bakhtiyari province, with an area of 3600 hectares. The field is the major habitat for inverted tulips species, part of which is protected by the Environment Protection Organization(EPO). It is located in Koohrang near which there are fascinating attractions such as the Koohrang waterfall and ski resort and Dime spa. The rare species main habitat lies on the slopes of mountains “Abkase” and “Khorbe” and regions of Benvatski and Mele Zarde. The tulips called “crying flowers “or “Mary’s tears”, according to the locals, blossom in late Farvardin and it goes on to late Ordibehesht( about a month). During the period, tens of thousands of people visit there every year but unfortunately as a result of the habitat destruction by visitors, there are new limitations to control the species so they will not become extinct.
The tulips mainly grow in Nesarkhorb in Tishterdan.
