Taking the road beside the lake you’ll end up in Shahrak city. A roaring river runs through the city in spring. Across from it there is a beach park with spectacular fields and mountains.

Where to stay

If you want to have a light bike riding ( and not bring along sleeping bags and tent) , then go for comfortable inns which are not very expensive

How to reach it

Ziaran and the road to access Taleghan are shown on a sign about 50 km on the Karaj-Ghazvin road. After a col you’ll get into the resort. Of course, there is a dirt road connecting the east of Taleghan to Chalus road. And also there is another road which links the west of the city with Alamut. It is only available in summer since the col is covered in snow. You’d better drive your own car to Shahrak and then park it there. Or you can take buses or taxis in Karaj to take you there.

How to reach it?

Ordibehest is a month when sports lovers pay a visit. If you are a bike rider, don’t miss the mountainous region with lots of trees and plants. The bike riding path starts in Shahrak and ends there too. The city’s height beside the river is 1800 meters above sea level.
From Shahrak to Bazaj, 15 km, 2 hours: first ride your bike towards the northeast of Shahrak. Where the city ends, you’ll come across the sighnpost of Jazinan and Khasban villages. Take the subsidiary path. A little on the road, you’ll run into a beautiful field behind houses. The mild steep road goes on to the first two- way. You should take the right. After crossing the bridge over the river and struggling on a small uphill, you are in Khasban village.
Right at the beginning of the village along a small river flowing there, there is a dirt road towards the north along the river. Go on to reach Bazaj waterfall and a village nearby with the same name. After a short rest beside the waterfall take the same path you used to come.
From Shahrak to Mirash, to and back, 30 km, 4 hours: on the main square of the city you should cycle towards the official center on Hasan Jun road. The mild steep road ends up in Hasan Jun village near an abundant river through beautiful alley gardens. At the end of the village near Sayyed Abad cemetery , there is a high dirt road on a red soil mountain which is an exhausting cycling to Imamzadeh Ghazi shrine.
The shrine is 2150 meters above sea level. It includes a cool spring, a courtyard and porches with magnificent views to Taleghan and the surrounding mountains. After some refreshement, take the road west of the shrine which reaches over the hill with a mild steep. Carefully do cycling down the path towards Mirash lake and over to Artun and Denilid villages. There, the paved road will take you to Taleghan dam lake.
When you reach Ardakan and the beach road , pedal your bike to the left (or the east) to get into Shahrak after crossing the bridge on Shahrud river.
