The dish is favorite to the Ilami. If you want to apply more amount of water in the cuisine, you will get softened rice which is called Zelegah.
Directions
Clean and wash the rice. Then fry the chopped onions with sprinkles of turmeric in a frying pan until translucent and brownish. Now take a proper pot and put inside the rice with its water along with the fried onions over the mild flame. Cut a few onions in wedges and put inside the pot as well. Let it cook. Once the rice is almost soft, pour in drops of the local oil, known as Dean, and put the lid on wrapped in a piece of cloth firmly. It takes a few minutes to get ready. Transfer it into a platter.
