She born on 1962 in Abadan, presently is a member of the fourth Tehran city's council. She is also the author of "I'm Alive"book. Ms. Abad saw FATEMEH NAHIDI at first prison, called her Maryam, and introduced Maryam as her sister, when Maryam and SHAMSI BAHRAMI were captured.
They saw HALIMEH AZMOUDEH, and after sometime, all of them were transferred to AL-RASHID jail in BAGHDAD city, since Baathist regime was believing that Ms. Abad is a guard member, so enemy transferred them to a security jail.
Ms. Abad and her companions were allowed to visit The Red Cross members after several hunger strikes. They got captivity code. Iran's government had sent prisoners the holy Quran as a gift, which was the best for Ms. Abad and her companions.

AL-RASHID Prison, BAGHDAD
Captivity:On 15 October 1980, 33days after the beginning of Iraq's war against Iran, MASOUMEH was captured by Iraqi military forces with three other women called FATEMEH NAHIDI, SHAMSI BAHRAMI and HALIMEH AZMOUDEH. They were on Red Crescent mission on MAHSHAHR to Abadan's high way. At first, they were sent to TANOUMEH border camp and then to ESTEKHBARAT (secret agency of SADAM) and AL-RASHID prisons. Again after sometime, they were moved to MOUSEL and Al-ANBAR camps. Three years and six months later on 21 April 1983 she was released. MASOUMEH was seventeen when she was captive.
MASOUMEH ABAD is a member of the forth Tehran city's council (current council 2013-2017). In current election, she was in the list of Iran's developers list. She studied embryology in London but left it after some months and returned to Iran. MASOUMEH studied Reproductive Health at SHAHID BEHESHTI University. She is Iran's head of the health care system right now.
Executive Records:About her scientific-executive records, we can refer to membership of the third Tehran city's council, special BASIJ member (public armed forces) in 1979, the head of ward in NAJMIYEH Hospital (1996-1998), councilor director of Tehran's municipality. She was responsible for Islamic society of High School (1971-1977), responsible for inland deprived clinic (1981-1977), responsible person in BOROUJ cultural institution. Ms. Abad is one of Iran's female veterans and in charge of nomination in Tehran city's council. MASOUMEH Abad is one of the Iran's developers in the fourth Tehran city's elections and could enter the council. "I'm Alive." is about her memories in captivity.
