Professor HOSEIN GHAVAMI, known as the FAKHTE, a renowned professor of Persian music, was born in Tehran in 1286 (Iranian calendar). He studied music with renowned professors and within few years, learned rows and music devices very well. Master GHAVAMI, even after the Islamic revolution, continued to share his knowledge of traditional music of Iran with music lovers. His works with piano of Mr. MAHJOUBI and other musicians are available. In the year 1988, received a degree in art from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. The great musician, Mr. HOSEIN GHAVAMI, eventually expired in Tehran on Thursday 8 March 1990 at the age of eighty three. And was buried in holy place of TAHER cemetery in Karaj city (close to Tehran).
