Amir Nizam Garusi House is one of the most spectacular remains of the historic houses throughout Tabriz which is located in the locality of Sheshgalan. The house or museum of Ghajar was built by Amir Nizam Garusi in the time of Nasereddin Shah.
Amir Nizam monument extends in an area of 3,000 square meters and is built in two-floors.
The building contains 2 inside and outside courtyards whose gardens and ponds have indeed added to its beauty.
16 columns with charming capitals support the wide Ivan. On the upper floor you can witness attractive grid sash windows with colorful glass, the north and south exteriors decorated with plaster works, mirror works, plaster molding in internal halls and Tanbis( kind of rooms).
In the basement there used to be a broad Howz Khaneh, literally pond's house, which was one of the mist striking parts of the structure. The strong columns of Howz Khaneh along with brickworks in the ceiling are totally remarkable.
Amir Nizam House, Ghajar museum, was per chased by the cultural heritage organization in 1370, and renovated preserving the architectural and traditional characteristics of the building and this way its serious damage was restored.
The museum is located near Maghbara Alshoara in Tabriz where over 400 great poets like Shahriyar, Ghatran, This, Faryabi, and Seghato Alislam are buried.
It was recorded on the lust of the national sites in 1370 and is numbered 1,749.
