Mehr Abad Bathhouse is among the most famous bathhouses which is composed of 5 parts:
1. A large locker hall
2. Washing hall
3. Heater
4. Cleanliness section
5. Khazine, Water basin
The large locker hall includes a large dome and 4 small ones as well as 3 arches on 4 sides. There is a large stone pond under the large dome. The hall enters the bath hall by means of a narrow corridor, whose architecture fairly resembles that of the locker hall.
On the east side of the bath hall 2 rooms are seen with a domed ceiling, called Khalvati or Shah Neshin, which belonged to the dignitaries.
The bath hall enters Khazine- water basin- which is considered the last stage of bathing, going through a small door by means of 4 steps.
After coming out of Khazine you should go through small cold water ponds. The water for bathing is supplied by a well near Khazine and after running through a special narrow pipe and then through another narrow earthen pipe installed in walls, it entered inside the bath.
The building was done in the time of Shah Tahmasp and regarding its construction and comparing with other bathhouses it dates back to the Safavid era.
