Mahdasht Mountain Range belongs to the central mountains of Iran which consists of various parts like Kolah Ghazi and Shah Kuh Mountains.
The highest peak in the mountain range lies in the southeast of Isfahan named Kolah Ghazi, 2,534 m high.
Kolah Ghazi is usually reachable through a Col known as Lashtar, about 30 km from Isfahan on the road to Shahreza.
Kolah Ghazi enjoys tall walls with rocks that make it a hot spot for rock climbers and therefore several trails have been opened up.
Kolah Ghazi Mountain is regarded as the protected area and wildlife Shelter where herds of goats and the Anatolian Bezoar ibex ( wild goat).
