Danesfehan is located in Ghazvin Province, and is a district in Boin Zahra. Danesfehan lies on the slope of Ramand Mountain,
and has a population of over 30,000.
The city was extremely devastated and suffered financially while many lost their lives. It was so severe that some parts were entirely destroyed; some of which were renovated and now called Nowdeh, literally new village. Places where the remains of the earthquakes still exist are termed as Kohneh Deh, literally old village.
Danesfehan, today, is the commercial center among the surrounding cities and villages. Grocery stores, clothing stores, wall-carpet and rugs stores, bags and shoes stores, and jewelry store are among its highlights. The city is over 2,000 years old.
The city has suffered a lot of events during history including the earthquakes in 1341 and 1255, solar calendar.
The subterranean canal of Lav, as old as 2,000 years old, is the source of life in Danesfehan.
On the slopes of Ramand Mountain uphill Danesfehan stands a peak which locals call Majau Kuh Mountain and is highly-respected and precious among them all.
The people of the villages in Danesfehan and the surround areas speak in Tati and Turki (Azeri).
