The dish is favorite to the Zanjani.
It is among traditional cuisines of the city which today only a few are familiar with its cooking way. But not in distant days, tasteful women would make it out of few yet the healthiest natural ingredients, grown in mountains. It was delightful in winter nights, making the long nights memorable. The dish was often consumed as dinner.
Ingredients
Chopped onions
Walnuts
Torta, the extract of the animal fat
Spices
Minced meat,
chopped tomatoes,
Tomato paste
Lentils
Split peas
Dried apricots
Plums
Potatoes
Piyazoo
Now directions
First, fry the chopped onion in Torta and add in ground walnuts stirring. Then stir in chopped tomatoes plus tomato paste and sauté. Pour in enough water and bring to a boil. Now add in plums, dried apricots which have been soaked in water for an hour, and potatoes. After 1 hour of cooking over the medium heat, the yummy dish is ready to serve. Bon Appetit!
