Head of Savak: They have also sent guns to India from Iraq.
After the 4th war between Arabs and Israelis in October 1973, reputed as Ramadan War (or Day of Atonement), General Zavi Zameer, Head of Mossad, meets Head of Savak and represents information about this event. Beside of having damages that both sides had born, especially Egypt and Syria, Zavi Zameer mentions and reports that Syrians and Egyptians have obtained Russian spoils. But he does not mention any of the United States of America’s impact on this war. Although the United States of America had Israel’s financial, military, and intelligence support, in this war, USA asks for the help of Security Council. The successive failure of Israel in the war (in the beginning of the war), conveys Nixon that Washington DC must act and intercede (formally and publicly), and provide Israel freedom in some way, and also commanded Kissinger (a Jewish, and the minister of foreign affairs of the United States of America of the time) to consider reasonable measures.
Nixon removes every single obstacle in the way of helping Israel inside the United States of America, and insisted on sending supplies and whichever that was demand of Israel. He also sent 10 extra phantom jets to Israel. The amount of air support that the United States of America did to Israel was definitely more than how much it did in the war of 1948-49. In 10th October, Golda Meir (the Prime Minister of Israel of the time) thanked Nixon for helping Israel. The help and full support of the United States of America was that much that saved Israel, which was near to fall down at the last days of the war. But Zionists have always tried to conceal the secrets of the supports of the United States of America and its role in this war. Like the head of Mossad, in his negotiations with his counterpart, head of Savak, mentioned nothing about these:
Bilateral negotiations of Directorate General of Savak and General Zameer (December 8, 1973)
Participants: Brigadier General Nasiri, Brigadier General Motazed, Director General of the 7th Bureau, Brigadier Kaveh, Mr. Amani, Mr. Moheat, Mrs. Abedi Farshchi, sincerely yours.
General Zameer: As you know, lately a war had happened, and I want to start from a week or two before it happened. From political perspectives, we didn’t expect such a war (because of the friendship between the United States of America and Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), but from military perspectives, it was obvious that Egyptians are going to empower their army, and in the case of war, our tank ratio in the field would be 1:9. The spread of forces was based on this ratio. 5 infantry divisions, 2 motorized divisions, 2 independent brigades, and 1 motorized division. In the next stage, in the case of the crossing of Egyptian infantry divisions across Suez Canal, they were being supported by motorized divisions, and although the tank force from the opposite side was increasing, the ratio still was higher and it was 1:3/5 for Egyptians. Egyptians aimed to cross Suez Canal to centralized their forces, and go for the political aspects of the issue. Israeli forces stopped them in their way, 10 kilometers to the canal. A heavy war was going on in Syria portion, in this time, when we stopped Syria, Egyptians crossed two motorized armies across the canal, and the real battle was then when we found out that Egyptians had lost 250 tanks, while our number was only 10, and it was then when we figured out this lesson that if we attacked infantries, we would gain more damage than when we do attack motorized armies, and it was then when Union of Soviet Socialist Republics started whispering that of ceasing fire.
In October 18, 1973, we attacked, and by having centralized a large army, we crossed the canal, and at this time, Egyptians lost 800 tanks, and so we lost 300. This field is very interesting and worth to see. Up until 21st October, we didn’t stop marching forward across that canal, and in 21st and 22nd October, we accepted the cease fire treaty, and in 23rd October Egyptians expired this treaty, and it was joyful because we have already cut the 3rd army’s connection. In this situation, both sides agreed that victory would be far beyond how they had it expected.
About Egyptians’ war performance, I should admit that when they have plans, they do it very well. We were amazed when we saw they were armed with complex and expensive weapons, and how much they waste their ammunition, like they used a thousand missiles for each target.
Egyptians believe that they should never fall back. They were right. In a fall back they would lose their forces, and it does affect their soldiers’ spirits. The point is, when Egyptians are on the go, in an ambush, they would lose their balance and soon face themselves defeated. In the Suez Canal’s war we used this point and it worked.
In this war, Egypt had 2500 tanks, one brigade from Algeria was there which was still there, 3oo fly-boys from North Korea, infantries and 40 Mirage fighters from Libya, Morocco’s, and Sudan’s army, Iraq’s Hunter fighters. These were the forces which were definitely started the war against us. We were only 100 kilometers beyond Cairo, each day it is going to be in the interest of Egypt, because they strengthen their defense lines. Of course this would just remain until Geneva’s conference and we will surely retreat after that.
Deputy General: How was the tanks’ maneuver in the salt marsh?
General Zameer: No war happened in this region, and one of our units is located in there. In the region of Joulan, our forces ratio was 12:1. In the first day, Syrians managed it very well. In 18th October, we did stop Syrians. In the region, 300 tanks of ours were battling against 1000 tanks of Syrians. In North, the air force had an important role in stopping Syria’s marching. Jordan entered the war with reluctance, Iraqis entered the war with gladness, but in military terms they were awful. In 12th October, when they woke up, 50 to 60 of their tanks were surrounded. Iraqis lost 130 tanks, and had 370 of their tanks back. In North we march very well that we had Damascus under artillery press.
Deputy General: In your opinion, why Syrians do not take part in conference?
General Zameer: Because of the fact that they are Syrians.
Deputy General: Why they don’t give you the list of prisoners?
General Zameer: they consider it as their trump card. Because they lost everything in this war, and we insisted on getting back our prisoners, they think that this is their trump card and in my opinion, this obsession was wrong. There are a few points that I should tell you:
After the war, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics had given Egypt and Syria 1300 to 1400 tanks, 140 aircrafts, 20 to 30 anti-aircraft missiles platform, another 850 tanks to Syria, and 100 more aircrafts to Egypt. As a result, in order to stop helping Syria and Egypt we had an airport in Union of Soviet Socialist Republics under artillery press which, by the way, cause some aircrafts damage in the airport. Israelis are potentially Masochism, and that’s why these days Israeli newspapers are free to write and they criticize everybody in the country.
This is unjust that they blame Israel for having energy crisis, while in the West they face leadership crisis, and the impact that Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has in this situation is too much.
Deputy General: What did you pick up from Union of Soviet Socialist Republics’ equipment? And of what kind are they?
General Zameer: As far as I remember, every kind of tanks, including Armored Tanks, APC, and Armored Tanks that have missiles planted on their roof, all kinds of bridges, Sam 2, and Sam 3 missiles. We didn’t clearly find any Sam 6s, but we found some of its ingredients. All kinds of red-eye missiles, and around 200 anti-tank missiles which we used against Arabs.
General Kaveh: we were informed that some of the tanks that Syrians had were given to Jordan.
General Zameer: Jordan had lost 20 of its tanks by Iraqis, just because they looked similar to our tanks. We assume that when we left our tanks in Joulan region, in a battle with Syrians, Syria had captured them and then gave them to Jordan. We gathered all the equipment we found in a place near Tel Aviv that if General comes, he can see them clearly and directly.
Mohammadreza Pahlavi in Brokering Peace between Israel and Egypt
After Arabs 4th war with Israel, known as Ramadan War, and according to Israelis, Day of Atonement, Zionist regime really needed to establish connections with Anwar Sadat, the president of Egypt. In this time, Zionists strongly activated Mossad-Tehran axis. Zavi Zameer, Head of Mossad, was given a mission from the prime minister of Israel, and in that, he had to seduce Imperial Iran, and above all, the king Mohammadreza Pahlavi to try and act as a broker peace between Israel and Egypt. In a meeting with head of Savak, Nasiri, Zavi Zameer after pointing out to the political agreements between Iran and Israel, he concerned Nasiri about Union of Soviet Socialist Republics’ position in Arabs’ world, and wanted Iran to meditate to form a meeting for Israel and Egypt, and the king Mohammadreza himself, as a close friend to Israelis, brings the message of Israelis to Egyptians.
Bilateral Meeting between Directorate General of Savak and General Zameer
General Zameer: It is such an honor that Mr. the Prime Minister has chosen me for the mission, maybe the reason is our previous co-works that has been done in the safest way.
I’ll give you a brief explanation about political situations, and we’ll deal with financial issues. I’ll not go back to the past, because the situation is clear and we have no misunderstandings about that matter.
Just a few words about great powers – we precisely know that Union of Soviet Socialist Republics had always interested itself from different movements around the world – it improves disagreements and crisis in their societies to make an improvement in its future. About the armistice that the United States of America has asked – Union of Soviet Socialist Republics is against it. We are sorry. Although the liberal world stands in front of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, but it has no impact, nor any effects on Union of Soviet Socialist Republics’ politics – there are examples that clarify that the West had helped Communism and its impacts grow (Wheat Policy). About a short-term peace, we agreed with Americans, but their policies weren’t reasonable in the region. We think that the destiny of countries in this region is drawn by themselves. With no doubt, the war in the Middle East, for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, in the region, was a leverage. We have always been thinking that if there is a plan that benefits Israel and stops Union of Soviet Socialist Republics at the same time. The meeting between Israel and Egypt was pleasant. From our strategic perspectives, we always wanted not to interfere in the Arabic radical movements that Egypt do not interfere in, and if they asked us to interfere we wouldn’t either. From the perspective of developments in relationships between Israel and Egypt, a lot of success has been achieved. But Egyptians consider the presence of Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the region as something permanent, and also the impact of the Arabic radical movements is still on this country. I have reasons for what I just said, and I know that you know them too.
