Hollywood in 80s was in an especial situation. Economic depression of late 1970s was in the same time of decline of activities of last generation's directors. "John Houston: "Billy Wilder", "Alfred Hickok", and "William Vailer" were active but most critics believed that they have passed their golden ages. Other directors such as "John Ford", "Raul Walsh", "Howard Hawks" were gradually retired and some, such as "George Cukor", "Vansant Minydly", "Robert Aldridge" and "Samuel Fuller" were less hailed than what they got. Producers were looking for videos so-called young flavored with the artistic and historical monuments and expensive and luxurious ones. After a while, the most prominent filmmakers of the seventies were identified. They included "Francis Ford Coppola", "George Lucas", "Steven Spielberg", and "Martin Scorsese".
One characteristic of the seventies was living the last film genres such as musicals, war, horror and finally science-fiction, some of which, such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind and ET were then selling films and sometimes elements of the horror genre and science - fiction interwoven, resulting in a series of movies that follow alien which goes till the decade of 1990s, too.
The films in this decade in terms of technique and the use of new technology in motion measures were flourished, but in content were also in place that everything has already been said, and economic downturn of cinema should be made up by the entertainment of more people in the cinemas, in particular the use of video tape was one barriers of cinema while continuing the traditional rules. Therefore, addressing sexual attraction in videos that already were common in pornographic films with promoting a kind of sexual freedom and gradual permissibility was common in all the videos of any type and genre. In each film and with each story, a sex and vulgar issue were seen by old directors and filmmakers in the new curtains. Film actors were often actors dressed in sexual costumes and relations.
From the popular Western films such as the great little man directed by "Arthur Pan" to famous social films such as five easy pieces made by "Bob Rafelsn" and the famous work of "Luis Buñuel" called Zabriskie Point famous work of "Antonioni”, Desutan made by "Lewis Gilbert," and Mrs. Miller made by "Robert Altman's", the last Tango in Paris made by "Bernardo Bertolucci," and hundreds of other movies were all dealing with producing guidelines in America and Europe. In the seventies also making mythical - practical stories and new genre called the "Theater disaster" was introduced, such as t H x 1138 by "George Lucas'' story of Pesaydvn made by " Ronaldnim", "The Inferno Towering" made by " John Gillerman ", "last Warrior" by Robert close " close encounters of the third kind made by " Steven Spielberg", star Wars made by "George Lucas", star Trek cinematic effects of "Robert Wise", asteroid made by "Ronald half." .
In the film a comet Asteroid, an asteroid collides with Belt planets and a shower of pieces of stone come to the earth and finally we see the film Apocalypse Now which is about the Vietnam War, but "Jim Morson", the famous singer, sings a song in the film as my only friend, this is the end of the world which is on the image of bombarded forest.
Thus, the decade of the 1980s ended successfully for the Hollywood film industry with dramatic ups and downs while decade of 1990 was followed by a more serious discussion about the end of the world in film science-fiction way.
The science-fiction movie doomsday machines made in the year 1972 by direction of "Harry Hope" and "Lee Scholem," and by cast of "William Grant," "Henry Wilcoxon" and "Mala powers", American spies discovered that Communist China has built a huge system of nuclear war machine called Doomsday which is able to destroy entire surface of the earth and is coming soon to operate this machine. At the same time a space plane that is called "Astra project” is supposed to do space mission in Venus. In the final hours before the flight the aircraft was suddenly occupied by troops and forces and most men are out and women take their place. The reason of this is revealed a little later that "Astra" is removed from the circuit. Earth is in a storm and sudden transformation, and the world is to destroy. Is the human race destroyed? What dangers await for crew of "Astra" on a journey to Venus? The film is very poor and stereotypical that wants to depict Communist China as a global power as dangerous at that time and shows ways to deal with it worse and more dangerous effects. They want to show that only way that evil communism can be destroyed is in this way. Hollywood has made these films made previously and in the following decades and has always expressed extreme violence against the armed enemy. In the film, a white American invincible hero is involved and after the amazing and incredible adventures he can stop the global catastrophe on a spot and by inhibiting the heavy enemy, using a series of inhibitor operations, he saves the world and its people with minimal losses.
This was in fact, the theme of scientific - fictional films of past decade to rescue people from all types of disasters, including the invasion of prehistoric animals, creatures and so are the other planets. In the case of nuclear missiles and its dangers, Hollywood is also active until later decades. Meanwhile, "Salt" talks between the superpowers of East and West in controlling nuclear weapons and mass destruction that will destroy the world continues and decisions are taken, however, do not provide safety for any one and secret games are a lot in this case. In the last film of the series of videos Airport movies called Concord, airport 79 in 1979 by "David Lowell Rich" was made and we see that in the Concorde airliner, nuclear missiles are embedded. At the same time, French Air Force and a threat that comes with airplane are under surveillance from the top of the Alps Mountains. A woman among the passengers has documents that will cause problems for the aircraft industry of "Harrison" made by Concord. The documents suggest that they make nuclear weapons and the leader of this criminal organization is calling for a plane crash along with the woman. Of course, the last thing in the end is good, and all are survived and criminals are caught and punished for their actions. The appeal of the film is presence of "Alain Delon" famous French actor in the role of the pilot. Other actors include "Susan Lee Blocks," "Robert Wagner" and "George Kennedy".
The reason for making the film for political pavement of Hollywood, was a type of attack and creating a scandal for French companies and business aircraft, but somehow did not end in disaster. The film originally created anxiety and suspense for spectators and influence on flyer programs of Concorde airplane and of course we know that later for technical reasons the manufacturer of aircraft was generally banned and obsolete production of this type was declared.
In the mid-1980s, in Hollywood another new issue was raised in the context of nuclear dangers and it was the lack of control of the Non-war Nuclear Energy, e.g. Atoms for Peace which was actually an excuse by colonialism and imperialism in this case to create panic. Complications of power plants and nuclear waste, and most importantly human intervention in natural history that dates back to the beginning of the industrial revolution and rapid industrial growth took two hundred to three hundred years later, and in fact the beginner of it was the industrial and wealthy countries of the world that had a new excuse for Hollywood at issue of the protection of the environment and ecologist. The new trend that apparently noted protests and activities of certain groups, such as the "green group" and plan to protect and maintain healthy habitats and of human beings, and it was in fact a critical reaction to the Enlightenment in Europe.
Film "Red Siren" by "William Hill" in 1977 was of the first American drama production that tells the story of an incident in a nuclear power plant. In the film "William Devine" and "Michael Brandon" and "Adrienne Barbo" play a role. The film is adaptation of a novel called "red pattern" written by "Heralding".
