Hasan slept that night hungry. In the morning, Dervish said that day would not like the days before and he really would give him at that noon a very good lunch. At that day too he should go to the king's palace and take the lunch. Hasan drew kohl into his eyes and got going and took the tray of lunch of the king and brought it for Dervish. The put the tray in the middle and began to eat. When poor Hasan had just eaten a few pieces, Dervish took his wrist and said: "Hasan! Tell me the right. How many legs did the hen have?" Hasan answered: "The truth is the same I said regardless you believe or not." That day too, Dervish did not let him to eat lunch.
Now hear about the king who had no lunch at that day too. He ordered to announce throughout the city that the king would give everything wanted to anyone who found the thief of the lunch of the king. When the announcers announced, Dervish who had eaten his lunch and was surfing in the city heard their announcement. So he went to the king and said that he was able to find the thief of the king's lunch. The king said if he found him, he would give a good gift to Dervish. It was determined that the next day the lunch of the king would be cooked by wet berry woods.
Dervish returned back to his home. That night elapsed like other nights and when it was morning he said Hasan that at noon they really would eat lunch together and he should go and bring the lunch of the king.
Hasan went and saw that the kitchen was not similar to other days and there was full of smoke. He went and hid at a corner, but smoke went into his eyes and made him to rub his eyes by his hands causing the kohl being wiped out. So Hasan was no longer invisible but he had not yet noticed this matter. As the cook wanted the lunch of the king to be taken, Hasan went ahead to take the tray but immediately the chef caught him and took him to the king as the robber of the food of the king. Since Dervish had before given the signs of Hasan to the king, the king at once knew him. The king asked him where he took the lunch. Hasan answered that did not take it anywhere, but the chef called him and wanted him to take the king's lunch because the king liked a boy like him, and the chef was to give him the wage of this work.
The king ordered to take Hasan to jail. Officers took Hasan to dungeon.
Darvish saw that Hasan was late. So he understood that Hasan had been caught. He passed that day and in the next morning went to the king and asked whether or not the thief of the lunch had been found. When they said that he was in jail, he wanted the king to let him to see Hasan. The king ordered to give the key of the jail to Dervish, and he wented and saw that Hasan was sitting sadly in a corner. As Hasan saw Dervish said him that at last he avenged him. Dervish said: "Ok. Now let me know whether the hen had one leg or two legs." Hasan answered: "One leg." Dervish said: "Hasan! Your head is going up the gallows. Tell me the right." Hasan said: "No problem. Let them kill me. The right was the same I told before." Dervish said: "OK. Remain in jail."
Dervish returned back to the king and said that it was better to hang this boy to become a lesson for all the people. They set to hang Hasan at the next day. Dervish passed that day and slept at night comfortably. In the early morning he picked a goatskin and took with himself. He drew kohl to his eyes and went at the gallows. He saw that Hasan was bought at the gallows with closed hands. Hasan could see Dervish and also Dervish could see Hasan. Except Hasan, no one could see dervish. They read sentence issued for Hasan and looped the rope round the neck of Hasan and pulled the rope. Dervish was so worry. Dawn the gallows Dervish shouted: "Hasan! Did the hen have one leg or two legs?" Hasan showed one of his fingers and again insisted on his previous saying that it had only one leg. Dervish said: "Coward! You are dying! Did the hen have one leg or two legs?" Hasan again showed only one finger. Dervish saw that Hasan was dying, so, immediately opened the rope and brought Hasan down and instead of him hung the goatskin. He embraced Hasan and got going to his home. When he arrived at home put him down and said: "Hasan! Now tell me if the hen had one leg or two legs." Hasan said: "Dervish! Why didn't let me to die? I was to be died until now getting rid of you!"
Dervish said: "Bravo! Now I believe that you are a good boy." My intent was to test you. Beforehand I bought some pupils, but no one was satisfactory to me and I abandoned them. Now know that I will die tomorrow morning. I have three heritages to give you, provided that only you and I and no other one knows it; no problem to say them to his mother. I have three things: one of them being the same kohl that you saw, the other one being a cucurbit, and the last one being a couple of candles. Now I want to tell you the properties of them. As soon as igniting these candles two persons will be appeared with folded arms. They will obey you whatever you order them."
Then, Dervish wanted to test them for Hasan, and ignited the candles. At once two persons were present saying: "Hasan, what do you want?" Hasan answered that he wanted watermelon, and they immediately appeared a tray holding a watermelon and knife and fork. Then Dervish said to the cucurbit: "Hurry go out." At once they saw throughout the desert became full of an army. A person came toward Dervish asking what he wanted. Dervish answered he had no order. The Dervish said to the cucurbit: "Hurry go in." They saw there was no one.
Dervish gave these three heritages of him to Hasan and in the next morning died after praying. Hasan stood up and ignited the cancles. Two persons were present. Hasan wanted them to bring him one hundred Toomans. They soon brought him one hundred Toomans. Hasan dug a grave and with the help of some people buried Dervish and built a beautiful mausoleum over his grave and then rapidly returned back to his city and kept his life with his family happily.
