Outside the garden he heard a voice wanting him to return back to the garden otherwise he would be killed. But as the female demon had said him, he took no attention to the voice and did not look behind him. Again as if the horse had wings, it galloped rapidly up to the tree on the mountain. He got down the black horse and closed it to the tree and opened his horse and rode it and returned back the same way he had come until he reached the door of the female demon. He passed there and went into the jungle. Again the predatory animals began to show him their claws and teeth. The king's son, who had found courage, paid no attention to them. He kept his way without looking his behind.
He went out of the jungle and continued until he reached a stream. There, he got down the horse and washed his hands and face and drank water. Then he sat there and took the sour oranges and bergamots out of his pocket. When he peeled the first one, a beautiful girl came out from it and immediately wanted bread. The king's son took a piece of bread out of his bag and gave to her. As soon as the girl ate the bread she fell and died. The king's son sighed and peeled another one. This time a girl came out of it more beautiful than the first. As the girl came out, said that she wanted water. The boy gave her water and she fell down and died like the first one. The king's son continued peeling the fruits and the girls died one after the other in this manner. At the end only one fruit remained. He decided not to peel it. He put it into his pocket and sadly rode his hose and went toward his city. By chance, he saw the same old woman who had wanted for him the torture of the daughter of sour orange and bergamot. The old woman faced the king's son and said: "O only dear of the king! Did you reach the tree of sour orange and bergamot or not?" The king's son answered: "I wish I did not reach. I almost died until I could reach there and picked some sour oranges and bergamots. But when I peeled each one a very beautiful girl came out of it. But all of them died. Only one remained that I preferred not to peel it resulting probably in her death too." The old woman said: "If you want her not to die, you have to give her other than what she wants. For example if she wants bread you should give her water, and if she wants water you should put bread into her mouth."
The boy became happy and the old woman kept her way and went. The king's son went beside the river and there he peeled the fruit. A girl more beautiful than others came out of it and immediately wanted bread. The king's son made his cup full of water and gave it to the girl. The girl drank the water and grew mature and more mature until she was a real girl. But she was completely nude. Then she faced the king's son and said: "Who are you? What am I doing here?" The king's son said: "You are the daughter of sour orange and bergamot. With very much problems I have picked you from the garden of sour orange and bergamot and now I want you to become my wife. I am also the only child of the king of this city. Now I want to hide you here until I go and bring back for you clothes suitable for you to come with me to the palace of my father." The girl said that she would climb a tree there and would wait for him to return back.
The girl climbed the tree and the boy went toward the city. By chance, near the tree was the house of a person who was living with his wife and child and black bondwoman. The daughter of sour orange and bergamot had just climbed the tree that the black bondwoman brought the baby's diapers to the river in order to wash them. As she looked at the surface of water, she saw the picture of the girl in the water and thought that it was her picture. She too liked herself and said herself: "I was so beautiful and I did not know myself! Even the housewife does not deserve to be my chambermaid! I will work for her no longer. I deserve to be the wife of the king's son and one hundred persons kike the housewife be my chambermaids." After this thought, the bondwoman did not wash the baby's diapers and took back them to the home. When the housewife noticed this matter, she got angry and asked her why she had not washed the baby's diapers. The bondwoman went and sat at the top position of the room and said: "I am so beautiful. Why should wash baby's diapers? So far you have tricked me. What I had done for you so far, are sufficient. From now on, I am not your bondwoman." The housewife laughed and said: "Which beauty? Go and see you in the mirror to see who you are." The bondwoman went and saw in the mirror. As she saw herself noticed that her face was black and full of smallpox, and her buzzing hair was like broom. She became remorseful and embarrassed of her speech and so took the baby's diapers to the river. There, again she saw the picture in the water who was the same beautiful girl. This time she said herself that certainly the housewife had made the mirror such that showing her ugly in order that she consented to be the bondwoman of her and do whatever for her. Following this thought she returned back to home with the baby's diapers and broke the mirror. The housewife saw her returned back with unwashed diapers that was furthermore breaking the mirror. So she shouted: "Have you become mad? Why are you doing such foolish works?" The bondwoman said: "You are tricking me. You had made the mirror in such a manner to show me ugly in order that I remain always your bondwoman." The housewife said her: "If you don't accept this mirror, go to the neighbor's house and see yourself in their mirror." The bondwoman went and saw herself and noticed that her housewife was right. This time apologized and took the baby's diapers to the river. But when she wanted to wash them, she again saw the picture of that girl in the water. She thought with herself and said to herself loudly that certainly her housewife had made the two mirrors quite similar to each other and she was very beautiful and should not wash the baby's diapers. The girl on the tree heard the voice of the bondwoman and laughed a lot. The bondwoman heard the sound of laughing from above and lifted her head and saw the girl and understood that the picture in the water was hers. So, rapidly she washed the diapers and returned back to home.
She spread the diapers to be dried and hid the knife of the kitchen under her clothes in a manner the housewife not to notice, and went under the tree and said the girl that she wanted to come up beside her. So she requested her to hang down her hair. The girl was very simple and knew none and nothing. So, she hang down her long hair and by the aid of it the bondwoman reached herself upwards and sat beside the girl and asked her what she was doing there. The girl told her all her story in detail. The bondwoman wanted her to let her to clean her long hair. As the girl bowed her head, the bondwoman cut off her head and dropped her head onto the river. But her blood poured down on the edge of the river and a tree of sour orange grew at the place of pored blood.
When the king's son returned back to give the girl clothes and put on her head crown and seat her on palanquin to carry her by slaves to the palace, he saw that instead of that delicate and beautiful girl, a very rough and ugly person was sitting. But as soon as the bondwoman saw the king's son, outsmarted and as self – righteous said: "Why did you come so late? Are you always so much late? Bringing a suit did not take so much time." The king's son was surprised from the speech of the black bondwoman and when he noticed that she was addressing rightly, said her: "But you were quite white. Why have you become so black?" The bondwoman answered: "I do not tolerate sun. Sunshine made me black." The boy said: "What are these smallpox spots on your face?" The bondwoman said: "The crows pecked me." The boy said: "Where is your long hair?" The bondwoman answered: "The wind took it."
