1. Doomsday
Quran states
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِیثُ الْغَاشِیَةِ
?(Has the story reached thee of the overwhelming (Event
وُجُوهٌ یَوْمَئِذٍ خَاشِعَةٌ
Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated.
یَوْمَ یَغْشَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِن فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَیَقُولُ ذُوقُوا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
On the Day that the Punishment shall cover them from above them and from below them, and (a Voice) shall say: "Taste ye (the fruits) of your deeds.
سَرَابِیلُهُم مِّن قَطِرَانٍ وَتَغْشَىٰ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ
Their garments of liquid pitch, and their faces covered with Fire.
2. Torturing
Exalted God states
أَفَأَمِنُوا أَن تَأْتِیَهُمْ غَاشِیَةٌ مِّنْ عَذَابِ اللَّهِ أَوْ تَأْتِیَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا یَشْعُرُونَ
Do they then feel secure from the coming against them of the covering veil of the wrath of Allah,- or of the coming against them of the (final) Hour all of a sudden while they perceive not.
هُوَ الَّذِی خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَجَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا لِیَسْكُنَ إِلَیْهَا ۖ فَلَمَّا تَغَشَّاهَا حَمَلَتْ حَمْلًا خَفِیفًا فَمَرَّتْ بِهِ ۖ فَلَمَّا أَثْقَلَت دَّعَوَا اللَّهَ رَبَّهُمَا لَئِنْ آتَیْتَنَا صَالِحًا لَّنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِینَ
It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united, she bears a light burden and carries it about (unnoticed). When she grows heavy, they both pray to Allah their Lord, (saying): "If Thou givest us a goodly child, we vow we shall (ever) be grateful.
خَتَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ وَعَلَىٰ سَمْعِهِمْ ۖ وَعَلَىٰ أَبْصَارِهِمْ غِشَاوَةٌ ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِیمٌ
Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).
فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِ فَغَشِیَهُم مِّنَ الْیَمِّ مَا غَشِیَهُمْ
Then Pharaoh pursued them with his forces, but the waters completely overwhelmed them and covered them up.
وَإِذَا غَشِیَهُم مَّوْجٌ كَالظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِینَ لَهُ الدِّینَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌ ۚ وَمَا یَجْحَدُ بِآیَاتِنَا إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍ كَفُورٍ
When a wave covers them like the canopy (of clouds), they call to Allah, offering Him sincere devotion. But when He has delivered them safely to land, there are among them those that halt between (right and wrong). But none reject Our Signs except only a perfidious ungrateful (wretch).
كَانَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ النَّبِیِّینَ مُبَشِّرِینَ وَمُنذِرِینَ وَأَنزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِیَحْكُمَ بَیْنَ النَّاسِ فِیمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِیهِ ۚ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ فِیهِ إِلَّا الَّذِینَ أُوتُوهُ مِن بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَتْهُمُ الْبَیِّنَاتُ بَغْیًا بَیْنَهُمْ ۖ فَهَدَى اللَّهُ الَّذِینَ آمَنُوا لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِیهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِإِذْنِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ یَهْدِی مَن یَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِیمٍ
Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. Allah by His Grace Guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guided whom He will to a path that is straight.
وَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ یَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِأَنفُسِهِنَّ ثَلَاثَةَ قُرُوءٍ ۚ وَلَا یَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ أَن یَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِی أَرْحَامِهِنَّ إِن كُنَّ یُؤْمِنَّ بِاللَّهِ وَالْیَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ۚ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ أَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ فِی ذَٰلِكَ إِنْ أَرَادُوا إِصْلَاحًا ۚ وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذِی عَلَیْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَیْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَزِیزٌ حَكِیمٌ
Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what Allah Hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise.
وَالْوَالِدَاتُ یُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلَادَهُنَّ حَوْلَیْنِ كَامِلَیْنِ ۖ لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن یُتِمَّ الرَّضَاعَةَ ۚ وَعَلَى الْمَوْلُودِ لَهُ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ لَا تُكَلَّفُ نَفْسٌ إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۚ لَا تُضَارَّ وَالِدَةٌ بِوَلَدِهَا وَلَا مَوْلُودٌ لَّهُ بِوَلَدِهِ ۚ وَعَلَى الْوَارِثِ مِثْلُ ذَٰلِكَ ۗ فَإِنْ أَرَادَا فِصَالًا عَن تَرَاضٍ مِّنْهُمَا وَتَشَاوُرٍ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیْهِمَا ۗ وَإِنْ أَرَدتُّمْ أَن تَسْتَرْضِعُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَیْكُمْ إِذَا سَلَّمْتُم مَّا آتَیْتُم بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۗ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِیرٌ
The mothers shall give such to their offspring for two whole years, if the father desires to complete the term. But he shall bear the cost of their food and clothing on equitable terms. No soul shall have a burden laid on it greater than it can bear. No mother shall be Treated unfairly on account of her child. Nor father on account of his child, an heir shall be chargeable in the same way. If they both decide on weaning, by mutual consent, and after due consultation, there is no blame on them. If ye decide on a foster-mother for your offspring, there is no blame on you, provided ye pay (the mother) what ye offered, on equitable terms. But fear Allah and know that Allah sees well what ye do.

فَلَمَّا فَصَلَ طَالُوتُ بِالْجُنُودِ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مُبْتَلِیكُم بِنَهَرٍ فَمَن شَرِبَ مِنْهُ فَلَیْسَ مِنِّی وَمَن لَّمْ یَطْعَمْهُ فَإِنَّهُ مِنِّی إِلَّا مَنِ اغْتَرَفَ غُرْفَةً بِیَدِهِ ۚ فَشَرِبُوا مِنْهُ إِلَّا قَلِیلًا مِّنْهُمْ ۚ فَلَمَّا جَاوَزَهُ هُوَ وَالَّذِینَ آمَنُوا مَعَهُ قَالُوا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا الْیَوْمَ بِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِ ۚ قَالَ الَّذِینَ یَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلَاقُو اللَّهِ كَم مِّن فِئَةٍ قَلِیلَةٍ غَلَبَتْ فِئَةً كَثِیرَةً بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ مَعَ الصَّابِرِینَ
When Talut set forth with the armies, he said: "Allah will test you at the stream: if any drinks of its water, He goes not with my army: Only those who taste not of it go with me: A mere sip out of the hand is excused." but they all drank of it, except a few. When they crossed the river,- He and the faithful ones with him,- they said: "This day We cannot cope with Goliath and his forces." but those who were convinced that they must meet Allah, said: "How oft, by Allah´s will, Hath a small force vanquished a big one? Allah is with those who steadfastly persevere.
