SOM cave is located at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level and has a crater. This cave is near Mount KHAJE GHANBAR, and above the mountain, there is a IMAMZADE`s tomb (son of Imam). Cave is near to the village of NAM NIK in GALIKESH district of MINUDASHT city, so approximately, it will take 2 hours walk to reach the cave from village. SOM Cave is made of limestone and was grown on the flow of water from inside limestone. The crater of this cave is located on an ancient site, and inside the cave there are remnants of ancient pottery and skeletons. There are also human skeleton remains in the cave's inlets. SOM Cave is the second deepest cave in the country.
The name of this cave (SOM) in the local language means the hole and the cave.
