Veiling effect on improvement of society status

Abstract

Although the veil is one of the religious duties and it is a very important and influential issue of the community, but unfortunately , despite extensive studies and many discussions on this subject , every day more than before we’ve been gotten away from the model of the Islamic veil.
One of the reasons of neglecting this issue is lack of awareness about the positive effects of the veil and problematic consequences of the unveiling. In this article we want to clarify the effects of the veil in public life, encourage women to be veiled and raise their awareness. The major influences of the veil on community will guaranty it’s security, increase legal marriages and thus maintain the health of the future generation, create more productive work forces in economic sphere and keep the attention to the real and worthy values.

Introduction

Community is the only set of people who live together and interact with each other. In fact people build the society and if they don’t exist, there would not be a community. So it is natural that the individuals impact on overall situation of community. If there are no healthy people, won’t be possible to have interesting community. The society is mirror of the individuals. So everyone needs to try in keeping health of community, because as a drop of dirty water is poured within a clean water, all of it will be polluted; so infected persons infect society easily. In this article we are going to cover the effects of the veil on community situation, encourage people to maintain the veil and offer guidelines for maintaining veil with Islamic pattern at the end.

Veil effect on society

1. The veil, the influential factor on community health

One of the most essential human needs to achieve mental health is ethics and adherence to its principles. The health and mental peace occurs when people live in the light of faith and moral. Faith in God, is the most important internal factor which is within each person and put an end to all anxieties, worries and fears , as the Koran says: “Truly, the heart is relaxed with God” The main condition for adherence to ethics is abstain from falling in the abyss of animal lust. The prophet(peace be upon him) in a tradition states that the largest field of moral collapse for men and women is falling into the trap of sexual desires. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) says in this regard: if it were no women’s unveiling and promiscuity ( the faith and moral of people was so good that nobody would disobey God)God was being worshiped truly. Certainly, if a woman does not have a proper dress and veil, will cause the creation and destruction of the moral decay in the society and create field of human degradation to bestiality and attributes such as disloyalty, cunning, quackery, etc. So the unveiling will be the cause of mental disorders in women and men. As in the western societies women’s veil is not valuable and consequently fornication is so widespread that daughters and sons are not immune from their families; the woman who should be the paragon of emotion and morality has been gotten responsible for kidnapping and rape. But when we put the veil law to relations between men and women and surround sexual pleasure with family, we never suffer from mental problems; we can prepare efflorescence of people , especially daughters and women, the better; because any government which expect participation of different social groups, is expected that provide mechanisms for supporting them as well. So participation in scientific, social and political of all people or special groups requires appropriate fields for its implementation. One of the appropriate fields is the veil, it increases mental peace of men and women, reduces sin and raises social abilities; otherwise inner peace can reduce the dissipation of power in the social environment. Here the role of religion restrictive laws about clothing, is similar to respective laws on sports fields which constrain on unsporting behavior and consider the fine error such as yellow and red card, by this policy try to focus talent of players on sporty behavior; on the other side, the veil reduces stress which is arisen from concerns of women who are competing with each other in fashion and beautifying in social environments.

2. The veil, the effective factor on reasonable and legitimate marriage and health of future generation

The main reason of increased mental illnesses in the west is freedom of sexual stimulation. As such in the west lack of privacy between sexes increases the promiscuity and emotions, so the consequence is mental illness. Seeing a beautiful woman make an impression on men, especially teenagers (even before puberty), they suffer from sexual and personality disorders, because it is not possible for them to satisfy this desire, so they may be caught up in masturbating or trauma. Then, the veil makes such problems occurrence with delay and these problems will be postponed until they have reached sexual maturity. One of the major benefits of the veil is creation of mental peace among community individuals, it is lack of sexual arousal; in contrast, the promiscuity among men and women increases sexual excitement and inflammation, in the circumstances the sex appeal is converted to spiritual thirst. Sexual instinct is profound and powerful instinct that whatever it is obeyed more, is rebelled more; such as fire which is flamed up with more wood. The best evidence of this issue is that in the west because of nudity prevalence, have increased the obedience of sexual instinct, the influx of people to the sex and circulation of erotic magazines and books. This is clear-cut answer to those who believe that all problems of the sexual instinct in Islamic and eastern countries are arisen from restrictions; they also believe that if these restrictions are removed and sexual relations are freed completely, the present greed will disappear. Of course, the west has removed these restrictions, so there is one question, has the greed been subsided in the west? The answer of any realistic person is that not only it has increased, but every day it also takes newer forms of sexuality. A realistic western woman has described the west and its encounter with sexual instinct as is: people say that the issue of sexual instinct, veil and woman has been solved; yes, if to abstain from woman and the tendency toward kids, dog and gay are the solution, the problem is a time solved. Free relationships cause that sons refuse to get married and only when they are aging get married and its purpose is having the child and a waiter. Certainly, the lack of love in the family and accusing one other as the cause of deprivation of independence are another consequences of free relationships. Moreover, the less sexual arousal of men who can’t get married because of financial problems, is the other important effects of the veil; since the more stimulating factor, the more libidinal temptations. Of course, it is told that if there is no the veil, men will fall in to the habit of the states of opposite sex, but the sexual desire doesn’t get off with habit, even its expectations will rise; seeking sexual diversity and homosexuality are arisen from the rising of these expectations. Howbeit, the appropriate cover brings the community stimulation down. The rising of the stimulation level leads young from ogling to rape. In a society that seeing naked women is a social custom, such a society is a background of any crim. Another serious injuries of unveiling is that a man sees women of community more beauty than his wife, because this society leads women to be more pretty. If a man is not self-possessed, he will act the hidden relationships and even divorce. Another effects of unveiling are illegal relationships, contamination of generation and abortion. Undoubtedly, one of the biggest social problems is orphaned children whose creation is based on perversion and offense, since they are inclined to the crime and offense. It is clear that the veil has fundamental role because the woman coaches society, so the more chaste women, the more pure society.

3. The veil, an effective factor on more efficiency of economic activities

One of the important benefits of the veil in the social dimension is maintain the workforce at the community and sexual pleasure in the family; make up and the anomalous cover prevent the woman’s achievement to developmental goals that God has created for women, as well as reduces quality of wifely and maternal duties. The Unveiling of women corrodes focus of men and disorders community growth in various aspects. As a matter of fact, the Islam doesn’t prohibit women from social activities, so be clothed in the veil with the exception of face and hand is not hindrance of social activities. That which paralyzes the social forces is infect workplace with sensual pleasures.

4. The veil, an efficient factor for the consideration of values

Human emotions get weak because of lusts and promiscuity; it causes negligence of helping to needy and poor people, finally. Basically, the origin of poverty is the injustice and the affluent society. Furthermore, lack of supply of spiritual magnificent requirements endanger the health of the human spirit; encourage people to the lusts through women’s eroticism causes neglecting the spiritual needs. For this reason, self-forgetfulness is one of the common diseases in the societies. likewise, other effects of unveiling is that veiled daughters are considered retrogressive people and sons have no desire to get married to them, so in the marriage the attention of young people will focus on the appearance, therefore marriage will be done with the wrong criterions, divorce rate rises, consequently.

Cultural solutions for chastity and the veil

With respect to the importance and influence of the veil in different aspects of life (personal and social) the authorities should endeavor to promote the veil. The first step is to strengthen the faith; one should be always in believing in God and women should not have the pretentiousness. Imam Ali (p b u h) says: “one’s personality depends on the religious beliefs and one’s faith is manifested in action”. How we can be a Muslim, but we don’t believe in its principles. So true beliefs have the best role in human life. But the most important reasons of unveiling is ignorance of it among society, therefore, a large part of population will be saved by informing them about the veil. Imam Reza(p b u h)says:”if people know the attractiveness of our words, they will follow up us certainly.” so the whole training of religious matters will be effective, inevitably. Other possible solution to promote the veil is revival of Islamic culture and the introduction of exalted patterns for people. Revival of the Islamic traditional values and encourage Muslim women to the intellection, get the values and the creation a spirit of piety, will have the important role in the promotion of the veil. A faithful woman must hold with the Islamic values and knows that her greatness depends on exalted thought, pure heart and spirituality, because these values complete her purity and humanity. Knows that the appearance doesn’t show her personality. The revival of the Islamic culture and its development is an important step in promoting the culture of the veil in public. Patterns are also very important. One of the regretful issues is that the Muslim woman is not familiar with great women of Islamic history. The lives of women as Holy Mary(peace be upon her) and the great lady of Islam, Zahra(peace be upon her) and her dear daughter Zainab (peace be upon her) must be shown that women know, how they attended in the society by maintaining sobriety. It must be understood that man naturally likes pattern and always wants to see the values that he/she believes in them, in a face and make herself/himself like it. So, offer a pattern to women of new generation is a method for promoting the veil in the society. Other reason for the unveiling is that people are in need of pretentiousness and love the beauty; but the unveiling must to be prevented through awareness of harmful effects of it and positive solutions to stabilize individual personality. In addition, this way has created a sense of confidence, the independence of character, the respect and the dignity in women, it also eliminates the wrong thought about the veil, that is, the veil prevents freedom of women in society.

The veil has significant influence on various aspects of life; therefore, it is required of any one that helps in the promotion of the veil and counter unveiling.
