Mohammad NASIRI was born in 1945 in Tehran. He was the legendary weight lifter of Iran sport history and holder of nine gold, silver and bronze medals of the world and Olympics. He is the only weight lifter that has attended in the four durations of Olympics and three durations of Asian games and has honored for our country. He is the first Iranian weight lifter who became the Olympics champion. He is the only Iranian weight lifter that has attended in four Olympics durations and has gotten medals in three durations. NASIRI registered new world records for eighteen times. NASIRI became famous when he was seventeen by winning the third rank in the fly weight group in Tehran. Then became the champion of Iran for two consecutive years to get the attendance permission in Tokyo Olympic. He was the youngest weight lifter among twenty four participants of this group and got the fifteen ranks. Two years after Olympics in the world competition of 1966 in East Berlin hosting, he stood on the third rank of the world. As the next Olympics came closer his readiness increased, too. He increased his record the same year in the Asian games to become the champion of the bantam weight. He returned to Iran after years of being far from home in 2007, and was appointed as the coach of national teenage weight lifting team a little later by the order of BAHRAM AFSHARZADE.
