SALMAN FARSI

He was famous companion of the Prophet (PBUH). Born in peasant family in the village of Jay or RAMHORMOUZ. His father`s name was BADAKHSHAN. His original name is ROUZBEH. When heard the news of holy prophet, for the sake of truth left the father`s house and went to Damascus. Then in Arab land was arrested and has been sold to a man from BANI GHARIZE. He bought Salman and brought him to Medina and forced him to work in his garden. The Prophet (PBUH), bought and freed Salman. After that, stayed with Prophet (PBUH) until reached to the position of companion, as he was called Salman MOHAMMADI. Ahmad ben HANBAL explains in his book about the Prophet which said: God loves four of my Companions and ordered me to love them and they are Ali, Salman, ABOUZAR and MEGHDAD. And MOLANA BOKHARI states clearly that science should be sought from him and his character is exactly like LOGHMAN HAKIM. And compared him to the sea that has no end. He had active participation in KHANDAGH (trench) warfare, and was military adviser. According to Islamic believes, ten companions of prophet will enter heaven, sooner than others and Salman is of the ten promised paradise men. Whatever he was getting as salary from the treasury, was giving it to the poor. And to feed himself, he was doing basket tissue. Historians are mentioning that he lived more than two hundred years. In old age, caliph ordered him to be governor of MADAEN Area. His life ended there, and was buried near Ivan in the tomb called clean Salman.
