2 Ghos Mahi (literally, Fish with two curves) belongs to the province of Bushehr, originally.
Ingredients
Fish, Medium-sized, 1 no
Tomato paste, 2 tbsp
Salt, saffron and turmeric, as per taste
Garlic cloves, 5 to 6 nos
Onion, medium, 1 no
Red pepper powder, 1 tbsp
Procedure
Wash the fish and gut it, removing the organs inside. Sprinkle salt over it and fry. Put it aside. Crush the garlic cloves and sauté along with grated onions inside a saucepan. Dissolve tomato paste in a glass of water and add to the saucepan. Once boiling, add the seasonings, like salt, pepper, and desired spices. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes. At the end, stir in brewed saffron and let it simmer again. Once the sauce gets your desired flavor and color, remove from the heat. Spread the sauce over the finely fried fish. Design the fish in the platter so that the end and head of the fish create curves, just like the image above. The recipe is hot so you are recommended to apply enough pepper. You can serve it with rice, if desired. Bon Appetit!
