The cuisine belongs to Bushehr Province, originally.
Ingredients
Red lentils, 1 1/2 cups
Garlic cloves, crushed, 3 nos
Onion, large, finely chopped, 1 no
Potatoes, medium, 2 nos
Tomato paste, 2 tbsp
Oil, salt, pepper and turmeric, as required
Tamarind, 1 cup
Directions

First, clean the lentils and soak in water. After 10 minutes, transfer them into a pot with chopped potatoes and 2 to 3 glasses of water. Give it enough time to cook. Put the Tamarind in water and set aside. In a saucepan fry the chopped onions plus the pressed garlic. Once the smell is coming out, add enough tomato paste and season to taste with salt, pepper and turmeric powder. Sieve the Tamarind and add into the the fried mixture. The amount of ingredients depends on the number of guests. On the last stage, add the sour mixture into the cooked lentils and potatoes over the mild flame. Once it starts simmering, and it's water is almost gone, the dish is ready. In fact, the cuisine should be really thick. Transfer into a bowl and give it a sour flavor with lemon juice. Serve it with fresh bread. Bon Appetit!
