BIOGRAPHY OF HAFEZ

KHAJE SHAMSODIN MOHAMMAD HAFEZ SHIRAZI is one of the great poets of Iran. Scientists have given such titles to him: great leader, late martyr, sun of nation.
Mohammad`s birthday occurred in 1325 C.E. After death of father, his sons were scattered but poet and mother stayed in SHIRAZ. Love of education brought him to the traditional school. Meanwhile, he was trying to earn bread. After some years, his life changed. He learnt a lot from scholars and writers. HAFEZ was working in two fields, science of religion and literary science. Once poet explained:
Waking up early in the morning and always healthy
Whatever I got all are from Quran
SHIRAZ was the best place for his training, although the political situation was not calm. But at that time the said city was one of the biggest centers for scientific and literary courses. Late SADI used this situation too. HAFEZ was a literary man, a religious scholar. He was knowing every step of wisdom and mysticism truths. His innate talent gave him great opportunity for long ideologies. Actually he was mixing God`s mercy with his own master words. And created great poems out of them. HAFEZ welcomed the best poems of other great poets like RUMI, KAMAL, SADI, MOLAVI, HOMAM, OHADI and KHAJOU. We can observe, this great man, in his own words elected, appointed and decorated some of others poem`s with a variety of taste. He had choose the words and kept them in particular place. KHAJOU had great impression on HAFEZ. Our poet has borrowed many words, verses and bits, then made a little change and used them in his own poems. Among other poets, SALMAN also had good impression on him. But in HAFEZ`s main book that means, DIVAN, we don’t find much effect.
In addition, HAFEZ has the highest place in the great commandment, spiritual ideologies and expression. These topics kept him above all the previous poets.
It must not be forgotten that his era was coincided with the last stage of the evolution of language and literature in Persian and Islamic culture. So we are closer to him than others. And it is easier for us to understand this great Islamic poet. His especial work is to precise ideologies in the clearest and most succinct words. In every bit, there is the exact point where the content is interpreted. This elocution in Persian poetry is not new. But he completed it and many followed his way in the creation of point and deliver precise. His narrow and corporate words sometimes do not exceed one line. After some years this style became famous as HINDI. Another point is, he gave much attention to different styles to bring strong words in recruitment. However, the highest and most glorious theme of his poems is fight against deception and hypocrisy. This is the special place for a great poet.
HAFEZ is one of the poets who became famous during his life time in far cities and countries.
His idea of universal humanitarian was enough to make him international hero. Many great thinkers under his influence created interestig works. Out of them we can refer to JOHANN WOLFGANG VON GOETHE of GERMANY and RABINDRANATH TAGORE from INDIA.
