BIOGRAPHY OF MAHMOUD HESABI

SEYED MAHMOUD contemporary researcher and physicist, founder of modern physics was born in 1902 in Tehran. Because of transfer of his grandfather to embassy of Iran in Iraq, at the age of 4 along with his family moved to Baghdad for two years. Then one year in Damascus and later settled in Beirut. He completed primary education in French boarding school. The beginning of high school was coincided with the start of First World War. School closed. Then mother taught him Persian literature. He learnt QURAN, GOLESTAN, BOUSTAN and other lessons from a tutor. After two years of studies, went to AMERICAN COLLEGE of BEIRUT. At the age of 17, was successful in obtaining B.A in literature. At 19 got Biology degree. Meanwhile he was working to help family income. In 1923, he was working in Syrian road construction office. To thank him, the French construction company where he worked, sent him to France to study electrical engineering. In 1927 he received his doctorate in physics with high honors. Was knowing French, English, German and Arabic very well. He was well acquainted with traditional Iranian music and western classical music, and was adept at playing the piano and violin. He returned to Iran in 1927 and initially worked in the ministry of public works. Then he mapped and plotted first modern map of the coastal road between the ports of the Persian Gulf. In 1931, he launched the first weather station. In the same year, installed the first radiology device. In 1934, established engineering college in Tehran. In this college, he was head of the department up to the last days of life. Doctor HESABI was the first chairman and managing director of Iranian national oil company. In 1951, he was minister of culture in MOSADEGH government. He opposed the capitulation contract in parliament. Doctor was member of International Space committee. His theory of Infinity of Particles made him famous among scientists and physicists. The medal of COMANDOR DOLAJHION DONOR was awarded to him by France. Mr. HESABI is the only Iranian student of Professor Einstein. In 1987, Iranian physics congress, gave him the title of Father of physics. He was elected as the first scientific man of the world in 1990. Finally after years of effort for homeland, PROFESSOR SEYED MAHMOUD HESABI expired at Geneva University Hospital. According to his wish, was buried in family shrine yard in TAFRESH University city.
