BIOGRAPHY OF JALALEDIN MOHAMMAD BALKHI

Other names: MOLAVI, MOLANA, ROUMI
Date of birth: 7 October 1207
Death: 24 December 1273

JALALEDIN was born in BALKH (AFGHANISTAN) and at the time of his works lived in GHONIYEH (TURKEY).
Although MOLAVI`S works belong to the public word, but he belongs to Persians, because sixty to seventy thousands of his bits are Persians and sermons, letters and pleadings too.
Talk in Persian however Arabic is more sweet
Love has one hundred languages
RUMI`s son, according to his own confession was not perfect in Turkish and Greek languages
Leave Turkish and Greek you don’t know them
Talk in Persian and Arabic you ride well in these two
MOLAVI`s works had great influence in Persian speaking regions, India, Pakistan, Turkey and middle Asia.
He had effect on Turkish literature and culture. The reason is that most of his successors were from GHONIYEH. His tomb is also there.
Maybe HINDU and TURK can talk to each other
But two TURKS act like strangers
Some historians say, the language of GHONIYEH was Persian at that time. MOLAVI`s son says:
Talk in Persian so everybody can understand
Maybe they are not aware of this
HIS FATHER:
His father`s name was MOLANA MOHAMMAD BEN HOSSEIN KHATIBI known as BAHAULDIN VALAD and king of scientists. Father was a great mystic and had long history in mysticism. But did not like to participate in discussions and disputes. So many leaders opposed him and complained to the king MOHAMMAD KHARAZMSHAH.
So BAHAULDIN moved to Syria and after some years ALAULDIN KEYGHOBAD invited him to GHONIYEH. Father returned back and in 1231 expired. At that time, MOLAVI was 24 years old. BAHAUDIN`s followers asked him to occupy the father`s seat.
They all turned to his son you are the same in greatness
Henceforth you are our king we want all from you
MEETING WITH SHAMS TABRIZI:
In 1245, he met SHAMS TABRIZI. In this short meeting, MOLAVI started a passionate period. He started to write in different way and left highest result of human mind. MOLANA himself describes:
I was pious, you made me song writer
You made me wine seeker
I was praying with dignity you made me children`s toy of my area
HIS END:
After long illness while he was burning in fever, in a freezing December 1273 MOLAVI expired. On that truly grieving day, young and old, Muslim, Christian and Jewish were mourning for him.
After 40 days, all went to house
All were engaged in this story
Day and night, they were saying
Treasure was buried under the dust
SHEIKH BAHAEE in praise of MOLAVI says:
I am not saying that MOLAVI was a prophet but he was having a book like Quran in Persian.
In MASNAVI book, poet starts with this sentence:
Hear the flute, because it tells
and complains about separation
And in Arabic version, he concentrates on religion principles.
This noble man says: I made this book for men to put their foot on it and go to sky. God bless him.
