What is the idea of Islam about "mercy", "anger" and "violence"?

The doubts that have been entered by the West against Islam, is about the God which is introduced in Quran is stern, harsh and from the wrath and vengeance, but the God of the Bible is compassionate and tolerant of the top and Stuffed bear and so kind that he sent his son to be sacrificed, so all the people could be forgiven and his blood becomes penalty of the sinners.
Is God who is introduced in Quran, stern and harsh? Or merciful and gracious?
The answer to the above question is that God have characteristic of mercy and wrath. Both of them.
God is ARHAMAL RAHEMIN means merciful and the ASHADOLMOAGHEBIN mean maximum revenger. Out of the 114 chapters of the Quran, 113 SURAs started with" BISMILAHOL RHMANOL RAHIM, which show the characters of God, being the
Compassionate, the Merciful. Only one SURA of the Quran does not start with "BISMILAH". But in NAMAL SURA, you can see the BISMILAH, twice.
Beside the boundless mercy of God, Quran mentions about wrath of the God.
1-And God the owner of punishment will punish the wicked and obstinate unbelievers.
2-Of course, we will take our revenge on criminals.
3-Hence, they were caught in the anger of God, and for the disbelievers it is a humiliating punishment.
We believe that God is not only have wrath, but have mercy also.
But his forgiveness exceeds his anger.
This believe have been reported by Shia and Sunni hadith and has been narrated in our prayers:
4- Oh you, who has surpassed the blessings of your wrath.
It means that, God`s kindness will not abolish his anger. People will benefit from mercy of God, until it is necessary that some people get punishment for what they did. Hence we can see in the holy Quran, God punished some previous tribes like AAD, SAMOUD and LOUT tribes. Their stories have been mentioned in the holy book.
Despite the concerted efforts of the prophets and miracles and signs, they continued in the wrong path and wrong attitudes.
There were no changes in their behavior and did more dirty and ugly things.
God commanded to the Prophets to leave them. Prophets did their duty. But some tribes did not leave their nasty behaviors. It was here that the wisdom and will of God was required to punish them.
God's wrath and punishment are, examples for the vice-seekers and proud stubborn and obstinate people.
The question of whether Islam stands for mercy or intransigence and violence? We give the proper answer. The answer is:
The principle of Islam, stands for mercy and compassion, but in certain cases the Qur'an also refers to them, there should be actions against violence and bitterness. God have both the characters and know very well what to do and where to do.
