The highest and most beautiful waterfall in Iran

Gazu , with a height of about 700 meters, is among Iran’s highest and the most beautiful waterfalls.
It lies in the heart of lovely and intact forests of Lafur in the region of Savad Kuh.
To reach it, there are several ways , the most important of which goes beside Alborz dam , known as Lafur. But the best path is to go along Foirooz Kuh road . After the city of Shirgah, in its exit, turn left on the square and go on to reach Lafur dam.
The road continues turning around the dam lake and after a meandering dirt road through forests it goes up. On the path there are signs on two –way roads leading up to the shrine of Se Bozorgvar , known as Imamzade Gazu. On the sign at the beginning of the dirt road , the remaining distance to Imamzade Gazu is written to be 17 km but it is in fact 31 km which will take over two hours.
After Imamzade, you should follow the fairly high steep path downwards on foot. Therefore, you are recommended to bring along appropriate clothing and shoes. About 20 meters to the fall, you can hear the sound of water but it is not visible until you get closer where you’ll come across a picturesque and exceptional landscape, which can’t be described here. The waterfall flows down from a high semi-cylindrical rocky wall, at a height of about 70 meters. It’s a draw to every visitor.
