The green township of Baghrud is located 12km north of the city of Nishapur. It boasts a valley with a river within surrounded by dense fruit trees of walnut, sour cherry, apple and plane trees. It is among the most renowned natural resorts in Nishapur . Along the road leading off to it there are spectacular regions and villages like Barf Riz. You are recommended to visit these summer-quarters as well.
The main income of its residents is provided through agriculture. Also it features green gardens and rich soil. Agriculture has thrived and as a result only a few people go over to farming. Some of its locals work in Shahid Rajai camp which possesses a large military garrison and an international tourist camp.
The village of Barf Riz is also among the striking places on the route , located in the middle of the road on the west side. It's known as the look-out point of the city of Nishapur. Located near the southern slope of the Binalud peak, it is a place with much snow and beautiful spectacles , various springs and pleasant climate have made it be labeled as the main tourist resort in Nishapur.
Other highlights for sightseers are the large earth dam, glider runway, fish raising lake, saffron lands, bee hiving spots, and fruit orchards. Also various plants and flowers are grown there.
It has the capacity for 500 people, on one-day field trips, and for 2,500 people , on several-day field trips.
Furthermore, beautiful landscapes and high-rise mountains in the north of the region would constantly amaze nature lovers and enthusiast mountain climbers.
The ways to access
On the ring road from Nishapur To Mashhad, when you reach the square of Baghrud there is a two-band road towards north known as Baghrud at the end of which lie the camp and the village of Baghrud.
