Hazrat-e Soltan Ali ibn Mohammad Bagher is one of the four offsprings , with a known genealogy, buried in Iran.
In early second century AH the fifth Imam of the Shiite sends his son , Ali, to Fin and Kashan to do advertising campaign on the religion of Islam and direct the people in these regions.
When Argham Shami , the ruler of Ghom chosen by the order of Omaye rulers, heard the news , he sends a troop to the region to kill Hazrat Sultan Ali. He was finally martyred along with his companions in an unequal battle , lasting for 13days, in the summer-quarter of Ardehal.
Each year on the second Friday of the month of Mehr, the residents of the city of Kashan and the surrounding villages gathered in Mashhad Ardehal to take part in a ritual known as Ghali Shuyan, or carpet washing, which is a symbol of washing away the blood of Ali Ibn Mohammad Bag her. They would wash the carpets clean with their wooden sticks and return them to the grounds of the shrine.
