To realize the value of woman in national culture of our country, we have to go to literal articles as one of the best .many assume HAFIZ as translation of Iranian soul and consider his poetry as the best ones. Therefore finding the value of woman in works of HAFIZ, shows us the worth of women in the view of Iranians. In this short survey, we tried to find out, where ever the poet talks about the gender, we remove that part from his journal and then do judgement method.
We have we have followed this case in 10 different sections.
1-the word of woman has been mentioned beside the man, only once:
Show your face, so that many fellows become crazy
0pen your lips, so the cry comes out of man and woman.
According to the meaning of the poem, there is no insisting on the word of man and woman, and the word has been used as equal to the word of nation and public. But the word of man has come for 8 times as a mighty creature and complete man:
The place is empty, so drink, because there is no one except you, the unique one.
Name of the women:
A-the name of MARYAM, was mentioned only once and as an addition to the name of ISA (Jesus);
By this point, this heavy heart killed us and breath of ISA MARYAM (Jesus Mary) is with it.
Insist of the sentence is on Jesus and Mary is an additional part of the poem.
B: ZOLEIKHA the queen of Egypt is accompanied with the name of YOUSEF (Joseph), only once.
As the beauty of the Joseph was increasing, I knew the love will remove the ZOLEIKHA, out of the purity.
The sentence is insisting on beauty of the Joseph.
C- The name of Eve (HAVA), is mentioned only once, along with the name of Adam.
I cry out of the sinner heart – and will throw fire on sin of Adam and Eve.
Even though the meaning has been divided between Adam and Eve but still Eve is not the main. The word of Adam as the father of the humans was repeated 10 times in poems of HAFIZ. In most of cases, the anger of Adam was mentioned. HAFIZ did not believe that, Eve was created out of the Adam`s body:
The angel of love does not know the matter, oh you wine server,
Ask for the pear cup and pour in on soil of Adam.
In most of the cases the name of Adam as male gender was written for both the genders.
Be alerted if you listen to your self-temptation, you will lose the holy heaven.
Again HAFIZ, remembered the Adam as the father of humans and again did not mention the Eve as the mother of the humans:
I fell, because of the piety of father, he also lost the eternal heaven.
2-the word of mother: he used twice the word of mother in combination of the Mother`s milk and twice in Globe`s mother and once in Mother of evil deeds (wine), but he did not use the actual meaning of mother in this part also. But the word of father with its real meaning was repeated 4 times:
No astrologer could recognize my destiny, oh God, what was the reason, you created me out of the mother of the globe.
How in coquetry, I love the stone-hearted idols, these awkward sons are not remembering the father.
In poems of HAFIZ, we always get the meaning of human in father words.
3-vesper is the bard of the sky. A- Vesper and mars are equivalent to the Venus and Adonis in Greek language. According to the old legends of Babylon, HAROUT and MARUT were two angles, who objected to the bad behaviors of humans to the God, and almighty gave the power of love to the said angles and sent them to earth and then these two angles made multiple sins:
As HAFIZ said, there is nothing strange, when vesper forces the holy one to dance.
The name of vesper is mentioned as bard in all poems of HAFIZ:
Bring the wine, as we are safe about the tricks of sky, as it has beauty like vesper and a brave like mar.
We can observe, the name of VENUS (NAHID), was mentioned only once as beautiful in face. Once, hafiz has pointed out to Babylon HAROUT:
If I have to move to Babylon HAROUT, I will do hundreds of magic to bring you.
B- SALMA is a lover in Arabic literature and HAFIZ did not bring any one`s name opposing it. And in Arabic-Persian poems, HAFIZ is remembering the said name:
Oh you the Saba wind, when you reach to the house of SALMA,
I expect you convey my regard to her.
C-the name of SHIRIN came along with the names of KHOSRO or FARHAD
I can still see from the envy lips of the SHIRIN, the tulip is blowing from bleeding eyes of FARHAD.
In most of the poems, SHIRIN is the common lover and has no special attribute. The name of LEILA has always mentioned with the name of MAJNOUN which has been entered from the Arabic literature to Persian Poetry. LEILA is just like SHIRIN and is the common lover and we can see, in most of the poems, the said name has no special attribute:
A light was appeared from the house of LEILA in the morning, and how this light effected on the crazy minded of the people.
D-the name of GOLCHEHR came only once with the name of ORANG and the name of MEHR (love), was repeated, at least twice with the name of VAFA (faith).
Where is ORANG, where is GOLCHEHR, where is role of faith and love? I am crying loudly in the mood of love.
The name of by was repeated 11 times and this shows that, the male gender, represents the human:
In the literature of the truths, as the teacher of the love, oh you son try to become father.
4- In most of the cases, the world is compared to bride, hag and negative attributed and intrigue was given to the globe:
The world is beautiful, but be careful to become father by the way of marriage.
5-Hafiz has given the bad and good qualities to the women, just like beautiful, broker and lover:
Nobody will reach to her secrets, until agrees that beauty of the woman was created by the God.
Repeated 3 times:
The preacher advised to leave the love, there is no need of the war.
6-the earth lover was repeated 11 times:
I will not compare the garden of the heaven and holy shadow and palace of the angle with the dust of friend`s place.
7-the existence of the women, in hidden parts of the story.
A-SABA queen: this queen was remembered without name and title, 3 times:
Oh my heart, good news, the SABA wind is blown, the good messenger hoopoe came through the SABA.
B-FARANGIS the wife of SIYAVASH was remembered 3 times without mentioning her name:
the king of TURKS is listening to the claimers, they should be ashamed in case of SIYAVAH`s murder.
C-the old woman who brought the news of SHIRIN`s death and was the cause for suicide of FARHAD:
The world is old and without structure, because of this FARHAD killer, who made my sweet life useless with her tricks.
D-the name of SAFOURA (wife of MOSES prophet) was mentioned once.
The shepherd reached to safety place, where he served SHOEIB prophet for 7 years.
E-The Armani girl who cheated the SHEIKH SANAAN is remembered once:
if you are follower of love`s path, do not think of bad name, nobody will have the value of SHEIKH SANAAN.
