Maybe if you wanted to list the name of the stepped village, after masooleh in village of Gilan and Several village in ouramanat ,in Kurdistan, will not more names come to your mind. But, Iran and especially mountainous areas are full of terraced villages. Like most of the other provinces, Golestan province has several stepped villages. However, note that Golestan province has two villages naming Farsian; our targeted village is from sub-areas of Azad Shahr and is also known as "Persians Qanchy". Farsian has been located near the city of "Galikesh". Farsian stepped village of Azadshahr has still maintained its more stepped and thatched context and in its surrounding has garden, river and fish breeding ponds. You should add to the beautiful texture and spectacular nature of this village the taste of the fragrant rice as well as village and the water springs. They are more farmer villagers that unlike the name of their village; they speak Turkish language and most of them still wear traditional beautiful clothes.

Personal vehicles:
If you come from the province of Golestan direction, you should go up to Azadshahr and from there on, drive to the road of shahroud about 35 kilometers to see the village of Farsian. Enter into this secondary road so that after about a kilometer to reach Farsian. If you come from Tehran, you should enter into Semnan road and go up to Shahroud. In Shahrood, you follow road of Azadhahr and "the valley of Khoshyeilagh".
From Shahroud, you have about 85 km way to get and from secondary path the village is on your right.
Public transportation:
In shahroud , in terminal of Sarchesme, get on mini-buses of Azad shahr and get off on the road of Farsian. From Azadshahr you can also by on- the- road taxis or are also by paying two thousand five hundred toman to move toward Shahroud and get off on the secondary road of Farsian.
What do we see?
On the steps of the EastFarsian owes its fame to its stepped structure as well as its old one. The stepped structure of Farsian is very spectacular and most of its homes have maintained their thatched structure. The lanes of the village through this dense structure have opened their own way and, they are usually very tight and thin which mostly have been paved with large pieces of stone. It is for few years that to keep these beautiful constructions, some part of the old houses has been demolished and by new materials has been rebuilt in the old style.
Old Mill
Farsian has also a watery mill which is located by the village and this mill is not working for many years. Outside the village there are also several ancient trees in between them that wandering among them and rest is not out of benefit. Around Farsian, are also the remaining of an old architecture that the residents belonging it to ancient temple. Farsian has a river called "Tilabad" on its south, and like most villages of the area, has lush nature surrounding it that for wandering among tem as well as other tourist attractions that we mentioned, it is better to get help from the villagers.
What do we buy?
From silk to rice:The most known product of Farsian is rice watered by the river.
The main production of Farsian is rice that is planted under the names of Tarom and black –tail. According to the village residents because the rice of this village is watered with natural springs and to fertile the rice paddies of manure are used, they are natural and organic. Walnut also in all months of the year and, especially in September is abundantly found in this village and when going back from this trip, you can just buy a few Kilograms as souvenir. If early in summer you go to Farsian, the delicious cherry orchards will be waiting for you. The people of this village have their livestock and thus, they supply curd, butter, buttermilk and can also get local cheese. If you want to buy crafts, Mr. Mahmoudi can advise you that his family is active in silk weaving. So, you can buy night Chador and bedspread silks.
