SEYED AHMAD HATEF (poet)

He was one of the famous mystics of Isfahan city. He was also expert in literature, medical and many sciences of his own time. He spent most of his life time in KASHAN and died in 1198 died in QOM. Nobody could compete with him in poetry. He was close friend of HAJI LOTFALI BEIG AZAR and HAJI SOLIEMAN SABAHI.

Removing the brushwood with eyelashes, breaking the brushwood with hand,
Gnaw the stone to the teeth, cutting the mountain by grabbing,
Joy with tail of the scorpion, kiss on the tooth of snake,
Struggling with poisonous snake, diving in to the mouth of whale,
Drinking milk from breast of fierce lion.
Drinking poison from deep teeth of rude snake,
Dragging a giant on the neck in day time,
Hugging an old one tightly at night,
Removing a bait in anger from the mouth of hungry lion,
Grabbing a bait from the hand of angry leopard,
Being thirsty and barefoot in hot climate and rocks,
Walking by lame leg for miles without cane
Figuring out dramatic plans of hair on fast water,
Fiddler deeply from the wet thorn,
Being away is better for me from being in banquet,
I drink red wine and wear colorful dresses,
If the world wants to drag something out of me, say: drag it,
Shame is away from my name.
SEYED AHMAD HOSEINI was a skilled writer, a philosopher, poet and a famous doctor in Isfahan. His forefathers who were also great doctors in their time were migrated from URDUBAD in Azerbaijan to Isfahan and this great poet was born in Isfahan. And educated in the same city and probably in NAJAF. And was expert in arts, literature, mathematics and logic. He was eager to participate in poetry society. He was the main person in bringing back the old styles of poetry. He was master in Persian and Arabic languages and has lot of poem in these two languages. His journal is one of the mystical masterpieces of Persian poetry. His poems journal is printed many times. This great man has made a special story on SHIRIN and FARHAD. His last days was expired in KASHAN city. His close friends were AZAR BIGDELI and SABAHI KASHANI. These three poets had enjoyed wonderful times with each other. Their gathering was in this way: one year in Isfahan in the house of AZAR. The next year in house of SABAHI in KASHAN and the third year in the house of HATEF in QOM. Finally AZAR died in 1195 in Isfahan, HATEF in 1198 in QOM and SABAHI in 1207 in KASHAN were passed away.
HATEF had a son by the name of SEYED MOHAMMAD, who was known as MOJTAHEDOL SHOARA.
