SAADI was not away from life and its problems and had critical attitude on its failure and insufficiencies. We can find the shortcomings only by realistic attitude and depart from reality. We have to look at them with critical watch and picture them critically. Only criticism with such characteristics can be determined and constructive. And implies an ideal which has been provided by movement of life. Reality for SAADI is just like sap flower, when bee sucks its sap and convert it to honey. Criticism of SAADI is not destructive but constructive. He criticizes the shortcomings and inadmissibility and suggests the solution. His criticism is combined with creative construction. Such criticism is more effective, expressive and strong.
We left the hope of obedience and wait for the reward
We have thrown the shadow of effort phoenix on destruction
He may leave us to the storm, or take us to the beach
We have gone to the sea and thrown shield onto the water
If wise man is criticizing the transgressors from bad deeds
It means that we have thrown a cover on the veil
We brought mystic on the land and Sufi in to the sky
When poet was involved in dance and opiate, we have thrown him in wine
Nobody is without cloth in front of humans
They again wear, and we threw in front of the sun
Oh SAADI, righteous people are boasting,
We have kept drum on the neck and donkey in swamp,
A ROSTAM is necessary here to combat with internal devil,
If we overcome him, we have thrown AFRASIYAB,
SAADI, seldom criticizes the bad ones, especially in lyrics. He is experienced and knows that, training effect of expanding the good issue is much more than criticizing shortcomings and
Ugliness. Instead of exposing their provincialism, he praises ambitions. In lyrics of SAADI, human is not suffering from badness, but engaged in good issues. Praising the beauty, helps SAADI, not to be in need of criticizing the ugliness. SAADI believes that, the person who loves and seeks the beauty, can`t be the source of evil. SAADI, is criticizing the selfishness, and praises the life issues. Real love is not self-centered. By extoling the goodness and beauty, badness will never dare to be victor.

There is start for the love but there is no end for it,
Oh SAADI, when you have broken the idol, yourself don’t be an idol,
Selfishness is not less than idols,
When the base of the work is on criticizing the shortcomings and ugliness, by highlighting the positive aspects of reality, when visible reality means, pulse of the light, it is natural that all ideal elements of life are observed in harmony, cooperation and understanding.
CONFLICT BETWEEN LOVE AND WISDOM:
One of the fields in which, SAADI, uses his own idealistic and criticized view, is the conflict between love and wisdom. love in lyrics of SAADI is appearance of human`s attitude to beauty and perfection. In addition, in the view of mystics and poets, love is an innate talent and basic power of human. So love in this view, is clarifier. And in this case is in same level and also compete with intellect. The contrast between love and wisdom as they have mentioned in mystical poem, has controversial characteristic and it depends on ability of wisdom in real cognition of things. Application area of wisdom in mystical thought in very limited and insufficient. Instead, love because of innate and intuitive characteristics has infinite ability. In lyrics of SAADI, love is not against the wisdom, but shows the emotional relationship with things. SAADI is not rejecting the clarifying role of wisdom, but it does accept it as ultimate arbiter of love`s province. In social worldview of SAADI, love and friendship are the feedback to reach the ideal which is built with said elements.
Everybody will be old at the time of devotion,
Except me, because love was first for me and surplus,
If at the time of resurrection, they ask me: what do you want?
I will reply: our friend and all blessings of your paradise,
Oh friend, you are ultimate purpose for me in this world,
Thousands of live be sacrificed on you friend,
If enemy, makes the life difficult for me.
Still, I will not repent from your friendship,
In lyrics of SAADI, love and beauty are not having one-sided color. He is neither binding to character, nor confined to the mysticism. He criticizes both of them, meanwhile, he bears this and that.
Oh friend, inevitable, heart is following you,
If you accept my life, that is also for you,
Turmoil of mystics and yearning of lovers,
Are not the greed for heaven, but it is delight toward you,
If you give us crown, our intention is your acceptance,
And if you injure us, our wish is your consent,
If you show mercy on man or kill him,
Distress and mercy, whatever you do, decision is yours,
In lasso of infidel or in the mouth of lion,
The person who knows you, is happy in life,
I am not the only prisoner of you,
Every broken heart is your slave,
A tribe is in search of world`s wealth,
Another tribe are taking care of their past, but we are thinking about you.
Here we can see how criticism is accompanied with ideal promotion and lyrical love exceeds the spiritual love and this spiritual love is acting like earth`s love.
In poem and idea of SAADI, educational effect of highlighting the good issue is much more than criticizing the shortcomings and ugliness.
Criticism of SAADI, is paying attention toward love and beauty. And his wish is in tension which is achieved from these two. SAADI is seeking criticism in the center of reality, because he wants to praise the other side which is perfect. He is not denying the reality because of its deficiency. Shortcomings in lyrics of SAADI are being neglected in poetic way. And it is expressed in the form of ideal order.
SAADI is praising the practical wisdom in his GOLESTAN book and praising the theoretical wisdom in BOOSTAN book, and use it as criteria or benchmark for good, bad or right and wrong. But in matured poetry, especially lyrics, is arbitrating in love. Wisdom is dealing with abstraction and composition, but beauty and love does not deal so much with abstraction and composition. Beauty is recognizing love and interest of the human and love is mixed with existence of the man and can do any behavior.
Universe has created me and your love in one piece,
Just like two souls in a body and two brain in one head,
And love is the base of interest:
Love is the humanity and if this item is not available in you,
Be cooperative, instead of eating and sleeping.
In addition to it, wisdom is comparing profit and loss, and its rule means, following such criteria in judgement about the love. While, love and beauty do not care about profit and loss:
Lovers of religion are having a characteristics,
Which is quite different from property lovers
Criticizing the wisdom of profit and loss and handing over the judgement to the beauty and love is in fact, a kind of criticism. Criteria of profit and loss in this judgement may be infected to intention or unilateralism, and this case will make loss to love and beauty.
Wisdom criticism in lyrics of SAADI, is the criticism of thoughts based on profit and loss in the field of love and beauty:
Out of wisdom, lot of thoughts will come out,
If you want quietness, go and become insane, oh you wise man,
I will try as much as possible to reach to connection,
As the wisdom say: what a useless business,
Wisdom takes away the lover from his nature,
Wisdom trains the soul
If you take it away from its nature.
Wisdom is covering the love, but love is manifesting it,
Wisdom is covering everything on the verge of love,
While it cries, for the obscene,
Beauty shows, coordination is in the rational judgement which depends on the learning and as a result, it has reliance on external condition. While love is depending on own and is autonomous.
Understanding life in the light of mental, is sad, but cognition of beauty is relaxing.
Rob my mind for a moment, how much I have to take care of knowledge,
Take away my conscious for some time, till when I have to be worry for life?
Case of love and wisdom, shows the relationship between love and truth. Distinguishing the beauty from ugly is equivalent to discrimination of good from bad and right from wrong. Good and right are the base for society and natural beauty, and are reasons for truth and characteristics of beauty. SAADI believes that, love has more scope:
The sea of love has not coast,
If there is, truth lovers assume that, he is the one.
In realm of love and beauty, the judgment is with emotion of the love, in fact, beauty is goodness and truth which has gained emotional color. And beauty, under blessing of goodness and truth, has obtained social truth. In lyrics of SAADI, the relationship design of rational receiving and emotional truth, have criticized color. This criticism is not considering mind and rational recognition but mostly, criticizes the thought of measuring the love and beauty issues with criteria of profit and loss. as SAADI`s method mentions, he highlights the humanitarian role of love and beauty.
