Milan Village is among the historic old villages in East Azerbaijan province and is located 20 km from Tabriz near the city of Osku. Formerly, it was an independent village and didn't belong to the city of Osku but now it is part of the north neighborhoods of the city.
Osku is considered the most developed in quintuple districts in the suburbs of Tabriz.
It extends north to Tabriz, south to Azar Shahr, west to the rural district of Mamaghan, Ilkhichi and the east shores of Orumiyeh lake, and east to the villages in the suburbs of Tabriz.
Unlike other villages in Iran where migration to the cities have taken place, Milan hasn't suffered the phenomenon and even its population has grown.
Plenty of constructional works are seen on its texture and even a couple of multi-story flats were made.
The main income of the residents was earned through gardening in the past, and there were abundant gardens of walnut, hazelnut, apricot, and apple.
But in mid-70s, gardening waned due to a change in the climate and frost in the gardens, and therefore it is no more a source of making money for the locals.
The most famous landmark in the village, the old bathhouse, dates from the Safavid era. Among other buildings is Jame Mosque which was restored in 1370s, solar calendar.
The village also boasts a charming waterfall nearby.
