The village called Ghelichi is located 15 km from the city of Ardebil, at an altitude of 1,987 m above sea level.
The cultivation in the village is irrigated through rain-fed and its drinking water is supplied through spring and a deep well, carried in pipes.
The agricultural produce in the village include, wheat, barely, alfalfa, beans, potatoes, walnuts, and dairy products are cheese, milk, honey, and meat.
Wild animals like wolf, pig, jackal, fox, rabbit, hedgehog, badger and wild boar and wild birds like eagle as well as partridge and quail are seen in the village.
It’s cold there in winter but in spring and summer it's mild, most appropriate time for travels.
The locals involve 8 tribes, Leisani, Eskandari, Charkali, Allah Verdi, Esmaili, Aghamti,Talesh Mikail, and Maleki.
Each tribe's name connotes a special meaning; they basically are taken from the names of their important people but some of them like Leisani have also another meaning as well; Lei means eagle San means like, as; like eagle totally.
As a result of water shortage, the main job of the residents is farming.
The farmers plant wheat and barely and in recent years they have turned to lentil. The villagers stay in the village in special seasons; in summer the majority live in there. Currently, there are over 85 houses.
The village has 2 mosques downhill, known as Kohne Masjed, and uphill, known as Fala Ichi Mosque.
Also of note are 2 mountains named Jabi Dagh, or Jebrail, and Sari Dagh.
It is impossible for the villagers to talk of their memories and fail to mention these two mountains. It seems that they play a great role in their life.
The village of Ghelichi contains the second largest agricultural lands in the region, covering an area of about 1000 hectares. The first is Dasht-e-Moghan.
Its lands offer the highest quality products in the region of Kooraeim . Among its valleys are Tava Dashi, Sadegh Darrasi, Chap Darreh and Neemat Darrasi.,
