The idea of opening up the cultural collection of Ghadir Garden was first made by the officials in the municipality of Isfahan in 1362, solar calendar. Late in 1364 the plan of building a monument to commemorate Allame Amini was put into a competition.
The first ideas were sent to the municipality on Esfand 27th, 1364.
After a couple of months the establishment of the collection was started and in 1372 it was opened up.
The memorial monument of Allame Amini is the main part of the structure and includes a museum. Also there is a public library, in an area of 750 square m, in 2 halls for women and men. It contains 12,000 volumes of books, providing a favorite place for knowledge and science seekers. The entirely-mechanized library includes specialized AmirAlmoemenin section and Imam Ali PBUH computerized section.
The sports unit of the collection offers a swimming pool, a body-building salon and 2 table tennis courts, as well as dry and steam saunas, in an area of 3,680 square meters, which are designed to give services to men and women.
In addition, the Teens and Kids House which is supervised by Teens and Kids Thoughts Training Club.
Annually 120,000 visitors pay a visit to the collection including those who work there officially, and those attending in educational, programs performed on various occasions, as well as clubs activists and families who come over for pleasure in the open space of the beautiful garden.
The collection also contains Alghadir Gallery, halls with a capacity of 300 people and Howz Khaneh, literally pond house, which caters for 200 people.
The ceremonies performed in there involve conferences, seminars, literature gatherings, public gatherings of clubs, celebrations, mourning ceremonies etc. The entire place covers an area of 57 hectares.
