Najaf Abad, is one of the cities in Isfahan Province, in the center of the country.
History
The city, 30 km west of Isfahan, was founded at the time of Shah Abbas of the Safavid.
It is said that Shah Abbas dedicated some money and jewelry for the Mausoleum of Imam Ali PBUH and decided to send them to the city of Najaf. The tactful Sheikh Bahai prevented them from transferring and founded a new city named Najaf Abad, using them.
Among its main highlights are Sheikh Bahai Arg (Citadel), Kabutar Safa Towers, Okhovvat Asar Bathhouse, Agha Bozorg House, Sheikh Ebrahim Riyazi School, Hassanijeh Caravansary, Shrine of Imamzadeh Sareh Maryam Jowzdan, and Shrine of Imamzadeh Shams Aldin Mohammad
And recreational resorts like Kuh Panji, Kuhestan Park, Orchards, and the wildlife area of Ghameshlu

Culture and civilization heritage
The ancient sites of the city include, Kabutar Tower, and Sheikh Bahai Arg on Baharestan Street. The residents have retained their civilization and Islamic religion unlike large cities.

The students throughout the country have at least heard of the university once. The university contains a huge library, which is unique in the Middle East. Sama Schools also exist in the city.
The economy of the city depends on agricultural and commercial activities as well as raising domestic animals. But nowadays with the development of industrial companies it has turned into an industrial township and has still retained its commercial essence.
