Guidance of visiting Saint Jafar (PBUH) in Boroojerd
The pea _ colored dome which is in the east of Boroojerd and is located in the old graveyard is so lovely and popular among Boroojerdians that it has become the symbol of the city. The existence of Such a construction in the cold area of Lorestan is eccentric and unexpected experts expect the construction of such places more from Khouzestanian architects , that is ,those who designed and built the dome of Prophet Daniel in Shoush or Saint Abdullah in Shoushtar. Despite of eccentric conical brick-made dome its possessor is not so unknown in this region. According to historical document, Saint jafar since 525 Hejira has resided Boroojerd, but when he entered the city, he was regarded as a stranger, a stranger whose residence at this city was more than those who were regarded as Boroojrdian and were born there . He was a stranger of the most prominent and famous resident at the city of Boroojerd.

Of the Noble Generations:

Stemma

The wooden inscription at the entrance of the sanctuary mentions the reputation of this saint as Follows: The possessor of the tomb is the uninterruptedly son of Imam Mousa Kazem (PBUH). But the author of “Montaghel _ altalebin “introduces him as the following: “Abolghasem jafar son of Hossein son of Ali son of Hossein Almakfoof son of Hassan Alaft as son of Ali son of Zain _ Alabedin “. In this way, the lineage of our familiar traveler reaches the Fourth Shiite's Imam with Four intermediaries.

History and doves

By visiting the saint and his sanctuary you can travel through history, a history which in addition to pictorial enjoyments, raises questions for its interested historians, too.

What do we see?

Dome:

The Archin dome situated on the eight walls of the sanctuary is one of the most unique domes of Iranian architecture. A scalar-form dome which is suitable for the hot southern areas in Iran and its external form is actually a solution for keeping the inferior eight walls cool. But all over the southern areas of Iran, where is the origin of Archin domes, there is not such a dome at all. The construction of such a dome in an almost cold region should merely be an imitation in from. Maybe the Archin brick-made dome of the saint’s sanctuary is a souvenir and a gift of khouzestani architecture, the architecture which long ago put a brick on a brick to construct a 25– meter skyscraper, a dome with 18 brick – made floor and countless uneasy doves.

The Cemetery

If beside the saint’s sanctuary , you pass from the big and ancient cemetery of Boroojerd, take slow and soft steps since you can see the most beautiful handwork samples of Lor clans on these cairns which are the place of unilateral shoulder or both shoulders , mirror , beadroll , dove , sword , kinds of weapons and brave Lor horsemen . The historical cairns of the cemetery of Saint Jafar in Boroojerd are the remainders of an ancient cemetery which once was regarded as the most southern part of Boroojerd and ended to the thatched walls of an ancient castle to visit the historical cairns of Boroojerd, you should scrutinize in the eastern and southern side of the cemetery to have a result.

Doors:

Of the assets of the saint jafar in Boroojerd are two wooden doors which attract the attention of virtuosi and thieves of cultural heritage more than usual and daily pilgrims of the saint’s sanctuary you can see the first wooden door made by “Ali – Asghar Boroojerdi “ just at the entrance of the sanctuary. But don’t wait in the tree sheds very long since another artistic work is presented just at the sill of the sanctuary ; 2 matches of a wooden door on which other than carved verses and sayings we find the respectful saint’s reputation .
