According to the natives in Sazjuh, it is one of the cities of Ghazvin Province which is located in the central district of Bin Zahra City. According to the census carried out in 1385, solar calendar, its population was 9,584.
Sagzabad Hill lies in Ghazvin plain in Boin Zahra. One of the ancient hills of the country, it dates from late 10th millennium BC to the Alchaemenid era. The objects gained from the hill go back from the second millennium BC to the Alchaemenid era.
Also, it was the time when signs of the iron age are seen.
Sagzabad Hill is one of the oldest settlements of human in Iran's Plateau.
At the time people were even familiar with the technology of melting metals. The hill is among the triple ancient hills which are located in a close distance from each other in Boin Zahra, southeast of Ghazvin Province.
The triple hills i.e. Tappeh Zagheh, Tappeh Ghabrestan and Tappeh Sagzabad are between 7000 to 9000 years old, and considered among the oldest sites in the world's archeology.
Sagzabad Hill lies 8 km north of Sagzabad in wheat and barley fields.

The hill is not much high but it is easily recognizable within low-lying and flat farms.
The dirt way to get is very uneven. The surround area lacks signs for visitors to give them information so make sure to go with an informed person.
Probably, the hill will soon be plowed to cultivate wheat and barely with dry farming. If you enter from north you will see plenty of broken pottery in various designs and patterns and even a couple of unrecognizable worn-out bones which will definitely amaze you.
Archaeological studies in the central plateau of Iran is very recent compared with the west and southwest regions and dates from 1930.
Before the excavations in Ghazvin Plain by the university of Tehran, the objects gained from the Silk Hill in Kashan, were indicative of different periods of neolithic era in the central plateau of Iran.
But after the studies on the gained objects from the triple hills of Zagheh, Ghabrestan, and Sagzabad it was clear that they date from the neolithic era to mid-Alchaemenid era which display diversity of cultures in the central plateau of Iran during the history.
Marco Polo in his logbook has mentioned the city of Sagzabad and called it a way to the silk road. Jalal Ale Ahmad in his famous book Tat colonies has talked of Sagzabad and compared it with Ebrahim Abad.
