Today, Gurab is supervised by the members of the city council as well as the municipality. A few years ago, Islamic Azad University, Architecture Unit, was transferred to the city from Somee Sara but in 1388, solar calendar, it was shut down for some reason.
There is no exact information on the number of literate people and jobless youth. The city's face is quite young and hopefully with development of recreational resorts, sports spots, and educational institutions the youth will have more fun plus more job opportunities in the foreseeable future.
