Procedure
Soak wheat flakes for some time and then put in a pot filled with boiling water. In another dish boil fish, salt and turmeric. Once boiled, remove fish bones and mix the flesh with herbs like chopped coriander and dill. When the wheat flakes gets the right consistency, add in the mixture of fish and herbs and let it boil till you get a thick consistency out of wheat flakes. If you apply large fish, you should sauté in oil along with chopped herbs till its odor goes off.
In Qeshm Island, Kolomba is prepared with animal fat. The fat or oil is called Jonoon Oil by locals which means perfect oil.
