Shefteh is a traditional dish in Arak, Markazi Province. Thanks to its charming colors it has many enthusiasts.
Ingredients
Ground meat, 500 g
Chickpea flour, its amount should be enough to make meat sticky
Onions, Medium-sized, 1 no, grated
Parsley, finely chopped, 3 tbsp
Salt and pepper, as required
Tomato paste, 2 tbsp
Procedure
To prepare Shefteh, first sauté tomato paste in one spoon of oil. Add water and let it boil. In the meantime, mix grated onions, ground meat, chickpea flour, along with salt and pepper and try to knead thoroughly. Shape small parts of the meat mixture into walnut-sized balls and then put inside the boiling tomato sauce, prepared above. Allow it to cook.
