Konje Lari Kebab is a dish originated in Larestan. It is very common in wedding reception, formal gathering, camping and so on. The meat applied in the cuisine could be of goat, lamb, calf or cow.
Ingredients
400 g calf fillets
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 cup yogurt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
3 tablespoons Sesame oil
1 Meat bouillon cube
1 onion, grated
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Directions
Take a mixing bowl and combine the fillets, grated onion, meat bouillon cube, salt, red pepper and sesame oil and knead well 5 minutes till well-mixed. Then add in Yogurt, paprika and garlic powder and keep kneading thoroughly.
Put the mixture in the fridge for 24 hours till well marinated. Then put pieces of the meat on to wooden skewers and shape with your palm. Cook them in a cast iron pan for 6 to 7 minutes. Transfer to a serving dish and serve with fresh Persian bread as well strained yogurt and onion slices. Bon Appetit!
