Al Aqsa mosque during the history
American researcher, "Joseph Body" in his book "State of Israel" wrote: "The conquest of Jerusalem by the Romans in 70 AD delayed independence of the Jewish Land for 1878 years, and it was only in 1948 that Israel's government, the third joint Jewish government could be revived again".
Zionists believe that the city of Jerusalem and its holy places belong to them and others have no right in them. According to interpretations of Torah by Moses Ben Maimon, Judaism believes that God commanded the Jewish people to build Solomon's Temple in Mount Sinai following the day of Yom Kippur which is a day that the Jews get fast for their sins; this command is one of the major ones that Israel has committed itself to consider it.
Some of Israeli characters and authorities have emphasized their different views on the Jews' right in owning the lands of Palestine and Jerusalem. This issue is clear well due to their position on this subject, including Mrs. Golda Meir in the Sunday Times dated June 15, 1969, said: "There is no Palestine; it is not like that we imagine that there are Palestinian people in Palestine who have considered themselves as Palestinian people and we have come and taken them out of their country. They do not exist at all." Moshe Dayan, another Israeli official, said: "If we know Torah well, if we know us as people of Torah then we must also master our biblical land, the land of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jericho and elsewhere".
Jews know Jerusalem as for them: the mantra "next year in Jerusalem" from Isaiah, or Psalm 136 entitled "Jerusalem, if I forget you..." are at the heart of the Jewish faith".
After some of the countries in the world recognized Israel, Ben Gurion, Israel's first prime minister said in the United Nations General Assembly: Maybe we do not have the political and legal rights in Palestine, but religiously we have that right, this is our promised land that God has promised it to us from the Nile to the Euphrates. He said in continue: Palestine makes no sense without Jerusalem and Jerusalem is meaningless without the temple.
Jerusalem today as in the past observes Zionists repressive plots and measures. On September 28, 2000 (7 October 1379) Extremist right-wing Likud party leader, Ariel Sharon, towards consolidation and establishing the rule of Israel in the area of Temple of Solomon declared that in this day on the occasion of Hebrew new year, he will enter Al-Aqsa Mosque which is built on ruins of the temple of Solomon according to the Zionists, and therefore he invited the Likud party members to accompany him. Prior to the meeting, the Legislative Assembly of the Palestinian Authority and the Hamas movement issued statements that condemned the decision and warned the consequences of it, and in spite of the warnings, Sharon entered Haram al-Sharif mosque in the coming day with the support of three thousand police and soldiers. Previously, he had mentioned al-Aqsa Mosque as one of the most Jewish holy sites and had considered Palestinian opposition to the visit deplorable and unjustified. After Sharon going to Al-Aqsa Mosque, the French-language newspaper Figaro asked him in an interview: Why did you go to the holy places of Muslims like Al-Aqsa Mosque only to show your power? He replied: "I did not go to the mosque, in contrary, I went to the most sacred Jewish site, and I did not need anybody's permission to go there because all these places actually are ours!"
The Israeli authorities' action at the time hurt the feelings of Muslims, because according to one of the Palestinians, Sharon did not visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque, but he made it filthy with his entry into this sacred place; intense Muslims' protests to the Sharon's provocative action led to bloody clashes that led to a new round of Intifada of the Palestinian people against the occupiers.
Since 1967 Israel, which occupied the city of Jerusalem, was looking for changing Arabic and Islamic identity of the city and has been trying to change the social structure and Islamic architecture of it to give legitimacy to Jewish settlements through the creation of new realities. Sharon's plan to change the religious and population structure of the city and continuing Judaization and displacement of its inhabitants under the pretext that they are a danger for Israel reveal the hidden objectives of the government to remove the Arabic and Islamic identity of Jerusalem and reflects the Zionists' emphasis on their previous claims which says that Jerusalem is capital of Israel and is not dividable.
Israel's founder, Theodor Herzl repeated the claims in his book entitled "The New Land forever". In 1897, Herzl in Basel conference said: "If we someday take Quds, when I was alive and able to do anything, I will destroy anything that is not holy to Jews and I will ruin ancient artifacts and monuments". In fact, this is a glimpse of the ideas and policies of Israel for Judaization of Jerusalem. Act 3/7/1980 of the Hebrew state parliament based on setting Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel in this regard was passed, and now declaring commitment to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel has become competitive to the Zionist parties.
Shimon Peres, the former head of Israel's Labor Party, said about the issue of Jerusalem: "Jerusalem is not Arabs and Muslims' Kiblah; Jerusalem is at the head of our religious and political priorities. Jerusalem will remain unified and as the capital of Israel under the sovereignty of the country".
Jews, who claim that Jerusalem is their holy city, believe that the west wall of the Haram al-Sharif is one of the walls of Solomon's Temple, and in the ancient time, the Temple of Solomon has been there. Among the activities that took place after the capture of Jerusalem by Israel was that Jewish rabbis around the world held a general conference in Jerusalem to discuss Jerusalem issue. The participants in the meeting were demanding the rebuilding of Solomon's Temple.
Zyrkh Fazahafank, minister of religions of the state, said: “no one will debate us about the fact that our ultimate goal is establishment of the temple of Solomon, but the fact of it has not come yet; in the day an earthquake should occur and destroy Al-Aqsa mosque, and we will build the temple on the ruins of it ".
Extremist Jewish groups calling them as the guardians of Solomon's Temple believe that al-Aqsa mosque was built on the ruins of the Temple of Solomon. a historical study suggests that Temple of Solomon, in which Jews believe, was first built by Prophet Solomon (AS) in 960 BC, and it was destroyed in 587 BC by the Babylonians; second temple of Solomon was rebuilt following the Achaemenes Cyrus overcoming the Babylonian army in 593 BC, and finally it was razed in the year 70 AD by Titus, the Roman Empire. Now Jews believe that Messiah will emerge by construction of the third temple of Solomon. Jews believe that the Messiah has not emerged yet, and Jesus Christ was a fake prophet, and the Messiah emerges by construction of the third Solomon's Temple. According to Jewish teachings, by the Messiah's rise Israel will reach a global power. In addition to it in accordance with the Jewish teachings the Red hair calf must be sacrificed before beginning operation of building the temple. Over the past few decades Jews around the world using genetics started breeding cows to produce calves with red hair until they succeeded to produce these calves in Mississippi, America in 1997.
Among other activities that took place in recent months in Israel we can mention Jewish Extremist groups efforts in the rebuilding of the Temple known as the "Third Temple" in Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Congress was held in in December of last year in the name of the temple Congress in Jerusalem, and about a thousand people from inside and outside of Israel were present at the meeting. The Congress is held every year by the Jewish and Christian Extremist groups, and this was the eleventh edition of the Congress.
One of the participants called "Yisrael Ariel", who heads the temple's Research Center, said: "As long as the temple is not built in the capital of Israel, this state cannot have full sovereignty, and all the problems that are happening now are because of the absence of the temple, and the temple is the solution to all our problems". Another participant called Asyun, who was of Extremist Jews who attempted to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque in the eighties, said: "Al-Aqsa Mosque is a disaster for the Jews and is a source of strength for Muslims."
He added: "we do not have to wait for Lord, we must act ourselves and undertake the responsibility and then he (God) has no choice but to agree with our efforts." The purpose of this group of Zionists of expressing such statements is accelerating the destruction of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
A group of Christian supporters of Israel also attended the congress. According to the Christians, destroying Al-Aqsa mosque and the building of the Jewish temple instead of it are the symptoms of near reappear of the Prophet Jesus (Peace be upon him). Another issue that shows the big conspiracy by Zionists to destroy the Al-Aqsa mosque is that al-Aqsa Mosque is always confused by Masjid al qubbah (Dome of the Rock) and this is apparently due to the two buildings being close, but the doctor Marwan Saeed Saleh Abualrob, Assistant professor of mathematics in University of Dubai, looks at this issue in other way. He writes: "a considerable confusion exists between Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock; whenever there is any mention of al-Aqsa Mosque in the local and international media the image of Dome of the Rock is displayed instead. The main reason for this problem is lack of information of public in line with Israeli conspiracy.
During my stay in the United States, I often faced with this problem until I found out that the Zionists have published such pictures in America and sell them to Arabs and Muslims, sometimes with very low prices and sometimes even free of charge, and so Muslims put them in all parts on the walls of their homes and offices. the same issue is an indication that the government of Israel wants to clean the image of Al-Aqsa Mosque from the minds of the people to demolish it and build a hidden temple, and if someone complains then they will show the live picture of Dome of the Rock and say they have not done anything.
What a plot! When I asked some Muslim Arabs and some Palestinians, I realized that they are not able to distinguish between the two holy places. It really made me feel grief and sadness that how far Israelis have succeeded in advancing their plots."
Undoubtedly, the most important thing that Muslims should do at this stage is stressing complete right of Palestinians for the city of Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque and no shortcomings and negligence is done, and if done in any, this means that Muslims have violated their rights with their own hands. Palestinian Islamic movements such as the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and the Islamic Jihad movement have stated in the same direction that any Zionist aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque will lead to another intifada of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
