Recognition of God

To describe God in a sentence, we should say that God is the creator and the organizer of the world. In other words, he is the creator and of the world. He has created the mountains, the prairies, the moon, the sun, the planets, trees and the seas. He also makes the earth orbit around the sun, the seasons come one after another, the planets grow and the clouds rain. God is in the control of everything in the world. Even a leaf of a tree does not fall on the earth without his will. God is the creator of the world and only the commander of the world.

Do you know where God is?

If there is oxygen only at home, we should always stay there and if we leave there, we will stifle. However, there is oxygen at home and hundreds places as God is anywhere. He is on the top of the sky and at the depth of the sea. He is also on the peaks of the mountains and at the bottom of the canyons. He is at school as well as in the mosque.
He is in the jungle, the prairie and the desert. God is wherever you go. God is everywhere. He is even in the inner of all of us.

How can I assure that God is single?

It has been said from the past: '' two cooks spoil the broth''. In other words, if an affair has two guardians, commanders, or two managers, the affair will be spoilt because they decide about it differently. Therefore, a football team has only a coach, a troop has only a commander and a school has only a manager. The world has only a God. If the world had two Gods, you would not see any order in the world because each of them organized the world differently and the world became disorganized.

Does God sleep?

The sun has been shining for thousand years and it has never slept. The moon has been reflecting light for thousand years and it has never slept. The Karun River has been flowing for thousand years and it has never slept.

Human and the animals should sleep. They need sleep. God does not need sleep. If he sleeps, the world will destroy. This world needs the favor and the mercy of God from moment to moment.

If a driver sleeps in the time of driving, his car will crash and damage. Similarly, if God sleeps, the world will destroy.
Flowers will fade and spoil finally. Candles will melt finally. The life of human will end and they will die finally. However, God never fades like flowers; God never melts like candles; God does not have short life span like human. God is strong, powerful and needless. He has always existed and he will exist forever. He never gets sick and none of gust, storm, flood and earthquake hurt him. Only his creatures get sick and die. He is not like his creatures and death and disease are not true about him.

:God is not visible; therefore, he does not exist

In the world, there are a lot of things that cannot be seen. Voice, the smell of food, frequencies that go to the antenna of TV and the radio, wisdom, intelligence and hope cannot be seen, but they exist.
Can we say that a person does not have his wisdom and intelligence because I cannot see the wisdom and the intelligence of that person? Can we say that there are not the frequencies of TV in the air because I cannot see them?
Although God cannot be seen, he exists. We do not see him, but we can see the signs of his existence anywhere.
The sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees and small and big animals in the world are the creatures of God. Seeing them, we can believe in God. There is definitely a God that has created these.

What color is God?

My dress is green. My brother's hat is blue. My mother's cheddar is brown. My father's motorcycle is red. Whatever can be seen has color. However, whatever is not visible has no color. Science and knowledge cannot be seen; therefore, we cannot say what color they are. God cannot be seen; therefore, we cannot think about what color he is. God is not visible and he has no color.

Does God have hair? Does God have eye and eyebrow?

Does the mountain have hair and eyebrow? Does the moon have hair and eyebrow? Does the river have hair and eyebrow? We have hair and eyebrow, but we should not imagine that every creature has hair and eyebrow. The mountain, the moon and the river do not have hair and eyebrow and God does not have hair and eyebrow. Hair can keep us from the cold and hot weather. Eyebrow prevents from the sweet of forehead on our eyes. God does not hurt from the cold and hot weather and he does not sweet. Therefore, he needs neither hair nor eyebrow. God is not like us. He does not have hair and eyebrow.
Does God like confections a lot like us?
We as human need water and food and enjoy eating cakes, confections and chocolates. Therefore, we imagine that God is like us and needs water and food and he eats cakes, confections and chocolates. But it is not true at all. God is very different from us.
He is not like us at all. He has created a lot of edible foods in order to make us full, but he does not need them. God never eats anything even confections and chocolates.

Is the house of good and beautiful God in the sky?

We raise our hands in order to get permission from teacher. We put our hand on our forehead in the time of thinking. We hold up our hands toward the sky in the time of praying. The movement of hand has different meaning in each place. Holding up hands in the time of praying means demand and request from God. Doing such thing, we do not want to say that God is in the sky. Of course, it is not true at all. God is anywhere. We do not have to hold up our hands toward the sky in the time of praying. However, holding up hands toward the sky, we can show our demand to God better. Hazrat Muhammad (peace of Allah be upon him and his descendants) used to hold up his hands in the time of praying. We have learned such thing from the prophet (peace of Allah be upon him and his descendants).

Is it true that the house of God is in the mosque of our neighborhood?

Each of us has a house for himself or herself. We sleep and eat in our house and keep our body from the cold and hot weather.
The mosque is the house of God, but he does not sleep and eat in the mosque and he does not resort to the mosque from hot and cold weather.
God never needs sleep and food. The cold and hot weather does not harm him. If we say that the mosque is the house of God, it means that God likes that we worship there more. In other words, he gets happy that his creatures go to the mosque and praying and reading religious books in the mosque are more pleasant for him.

What will happen to us if God gets old like human?

Our life has different stages. The first stage of our life is childhood. After that, it is the teenager stage. Then it is the youth stage. After that, it comes to the adult stage. Then it comes to the old stage.
God never gets old because he is not like human. A person that gets old goes through the childhood, the teenager stage, the youth stage, the adult stage and the old stage. Did God use to be a child and then he gets old?!
God is as he was from the beginning. He was powerful, adroit and strong as he is now and he will be powerful, adroit and strong in the future. He never gets old.

Can God pick up the mountain?

It is difficult for a child of one year old to pick up a large bowl, but it is easy for a child of four years old to pick it up. It is so difficult for a child of four years old to move a chair, but it is easy for a child of seven years old to move it.
More powerful people are; heavier things they can pick up. God is the most powerful creature in the world.
We should not compare his power with our power. Since he can make such large earth planet orbit around the sun, he can definitely pick up the mountain from the earth. God did that and picked up the Tur Mountain from the earth in the time of Hazrat Musa. It is easy for him to pick up the mountain and affairs that are more difficult than picking up the mountain.

Has someone seen God that has said '' God is beautiful''?

All beautiful things in the world are not visible. Some beautiful things can be seen, some beautiful things can be heard and some beautiful things can be understood. A beautiful flower can be seen, the beautiful voice of a nightingale can be heard and the beauty of a mathematic rule can be understood. The beauty of God can be understood. Isn't his kindness toward his creators beautiful? Isn't his forgiveness toward criminals that have repented beautiful?
Isn't lack of his need from the creators of the world beautiful? Isn't his wisdom in organizing the world beautiful? If you think a little, you will understand well that God is beautiful and he is even the most beautiful creature in the world.

Why should we say prayers?

We breathe because we need oxygen. We drink water because we need it. We eat food because we need it. As our body needs oxygen, water and food, our soul needs remembering God and talking to him. If we do not remember God, our soul will darken and hopelessness, grief, sorrow, jealousy and arrogance will cover our inner. Saying prayers is the best way of remembering and friendship with him. God does not need our praying, but we need praying and having relationship with him. Saying prayers gets us away from sins and grows the seed of hope, happiness and kindness in our hearts. God is needless of any one. If God wants us to pray, it will be beneficial for us.

How can I know that God likes me?

Your grandfather expresses his love toward you with kissing you. Your mother expresses her love toward you with cooking food for you. Your father hugs you and expresses his affection toward you in this way.
In your opinion, how has God expressed his love toward us?
To express his love, God has granted us a lot of blessings. If you look around, you will see that he has proved his affection with granting us a lot of blessings. He has given us hands, feet, eyes, ears and tongue. He has created the sun, the moon and the stars for us. He has created fish, cows and sheep for us. Can't we understand from a lot of blessings available to us that God loves us?

Can we talk to God through the telephone?

If your father goes to Mecca or Medina, you cannot talk him anymore. You have to use the telephone in order to talk to him. Should we use the telephone in order to talk to God? Does God separate from us and get away and we have to use the telephone in order to talk to him?
Wherever we go, God is there. Even If we travel the moon planet, God is there. Therefore, we do not need telephone in order to talk to him.
