In educational sciences, the dimensions and educational areas of human have been divided into different types, and their meanings divisions have been presented such as: rational, emotional, social, economic, etc …
In the holy Quran, many different dimensions and educational areas of human have been expressed and human education has been considered according to the mentioned aspects. Some dimensions and educational areas in Hamd surah that have been considered include:
1. Ethical (moral) and spiritual education:
On one hand, The Hamd surah makes human acquainted with God (in the name of Allah) and on the other hand, it makes human acquainted with the resurrection day (Master of Day of Judgment). In the other words, it attracts the attention of human to the beginning of the world and the invisible world. It also fosters the worship ethics (you do we worship and your Aid alone do we seek), improves the thanks giving in human’s soul (praise belongs to Allah), and reminds the God’s attributes (merciful, compassionate…) to provide an opportunity for human to recognize the God’s attributes and to raise them in himself. Therefore, God makes the learner acquainted with spiritualities and the basic principles of ethics and trains him/her according to them.
2) The Education of Fātiha:
The Hamd surah presents the devotional monotheism (you do we worship) and divinity (the Lord of all the worlds), an in the same direction, it makes human acquainted with God’s attributes and names (Allah, merciful, compassionate…
It also refers to resurrection (Master of the Day of Judgment), and on another hand, it attracts the attention of human to prophecy and Imamate (Guide us on straight path* the path of those whom you have blessed).In this direction, it ignores the deviational path (Not the path of those who were inflicted by your wrath, nor those who gone astray), and it (Hamd surah) fosters the learner with the knowledge of religious principles (monotheism, prophecy, and resurrection day).
3. DEVOTIONAL EDUCATION:
The exalted God in Hamd surah trains the devotion mentality in human indirectly (you alone we do worship), and teaches him the benediction manners. He teaches him to express God’s attributes and His name (Allah, merciful, and compassionate). first at the time of benediction, it eulogizes and praises Allah (All praise belongs to God, Lord of all the worlds) and then brings up his/ her request.
4). SOCIAL EDUCATON
In Hamd surah, God reminds human that you are authorized and can choose a pattern to pass your path. He (God) has presented a social pattern for human; the path of those who you have blessed them (prophets, the truthful, martyrs, and pious). Therefore, human can choose the best way in his/her life according to this pattern, and have amity and abnegation. It means that human love and walk through the prophet’s and innocent Imams's path and avoid deviants such as: the Christian or inflicted people like the Jews .In social cases, he refers to collectivities (do we worship, do we seek). It means that human cares about others, accepts people in the society, joins the society, performs the prayer with each other and invites some people to walk through the right path. It (Hamd surah) also classifies social groups into three groups (based on their belief): 1) the path of those whom you have blessed; 2) those who were inflicted by your wrath; 3) those who went astray. Therefore, the social boundaries are formed based on belief (faith) not on tribe, nationality and ….Therefore, the Hamd surah trains the learner based on specific social guidelines.
POLITICAL EDUCATION:
The Hamd surah defines a special political path for human because it has indirect political messages, such as:
A) Your political patterns are prophets, Imams, and martyrs no other people
B) In international relation, do not obey from deviants like the Jews and those who were inflicted like: the Christian, (and do not support them)
C) Begin your affairs with God’s Names not kings’ names and…..
D) Know God as original Lord not kings, capitalists…
E) The devotion should be only done for God, so the devotion of political authorities is not allowed (like pharaoh)
F) All praise belongs to Allah not kings, oppressive persons and…
G) Only seek God’s aid not oppressors…
6) RATIONAL EDUCATION:
The holy Quran has always considered the reasoning and proof important and it has fostered human’s reflection and reasoning power by using this method (Baqarah, verse111;Anbiya’, verse 24;Naml, verse 164 and Qiṣaṣ, verse75).
In the Hamd surah, some hints can be found about these approaches that contribute to rational education and fostering, the improvement of wisdom, the increase of human’s desire for reasoning, for example, the definitions "the Lord of all the worlds", " the most merciful, the most compassionate", "Master of the day of judgment" are reasons that demonstrate that all praise belongs to Allah. "Praise belongs Allah," means that O'human! Accept everything with its reason and seek the reason and the proof. In Hamd surah, God leaves human free to choose one of three ways (those who God has blessed them, those who were misled, and those who went astray). Freedom and choice are based on wisdom.
It is clear that reasoning, proof accepting, and the possibility of choosing foster the rational dimension of human, and make him/her a logical and reasonable person.
7. THE EMOTIONAL EDUCATION:
In Hamd surah, God’s affection (merciful, compassionate)has been repeated so that we remind God’s affection (mercy). This repetition causes that God’s affection grows in people’s heart, because the affection (friendship) is mutual.
At the end of Hamd surah, God’s anger has been reminded to warn human about it. Although the exalted God does not have the sensual reactions (affection and anger), reminding God’s affection and his anger has emotional effect on human, and guides him/her in the path of training.
8. ECONOMIC EDUCATION:
The Hamd surah introduces God as the original (true) Lord against human’s ownership of devices, the earth, etc … that are conventional. In the other words, it ( Hamd surah) convinces learners not recognize themselves as true Lord, but it has been mentioned in other verses of the holy Quran. Human is the exalted God’s successor on the earth. Hence, forgiveness and donation can be done easily by human “(Hadīd, verse7).And spend out of what he has made you successor…
The Hamd surah introduces exalted God “Lord” (the Lord of the entire world”) and Lord means the owner of things in order to improve them. The message of this part for learner is that if you own something, remember God and improve it.
The Hamd surah teaches that human only seeks God’s help (your Aid alone do we seek), and it includes all spiritual and material affairs such as economic affairs. It means that other people and things are as a tool in economic affairs, and only we seek your aid from God.
And it is possible to say that the word of blessing (those who God has blessed them) in Hamd surah includes all spiritual and material blessing. It means that all pure blessing of God is for people such as: prophets, pious people, martyrs, and saints. Therefore, if you want all pure, spiritual, material, and economic blessings, you must follow their path.
Of course, it is clear that the multiplicity of prohibited (taboo) properties is calamity and trouble, and the verse does not include them. Sometimes, people’s oppression hinders God’s saints to attain the legal and pure material blessings.
Notification:
In Hamd surah, perhaps some interpretations refer to other educational dimensions such as: the necessity of following those who God has blessed them, like prophets and saints, and avoiding the path that God’s anger resulted in. The necessity of following the straight path is to avoid Satan's path and other deviational paths.
From these interpretations, some hints can be obtained about sexual education because the necessity of following contents of the mentioned interpretations is to avoid sexual deviations that cause God’s anger. Therefore, the result of this education is sexual instinct control. In other words, a learner should be trained in the correct path sexually.
The educational purposes of Hamd surah:
According to Hamd surah contents, two educational purposes can be used:
Guidance, as intermediate purpose of education
. (Guide us on the straight path)
Devotion, as preliminary purpose of education: .2
(You alone we do worship). About the final purpose of human education (that is correspondent to the final purpose of human creation), there are different opinions. From different verses (of the holy Quran), various deductions have been obtained, such as: "God visiting" in “Inshīqaq surah, verse 6:
يَأَيُّهَا الْانسَنُ إِنَّكَ كاَدِحٌ إِلىَ رَبِّكَ كَدْحًا فَمُلَاقِيهِ
O man! Verily, you who toil and strive toward your Lord, you will meet him''.
إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ رَبُّكَ وَ لِذَالِكَ خَلَقَهُمْ وَ تَمَّتْ كلَِمَةُ رَبِّكَ لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ
Mercy: “in the Hūd surah, verse 119: Except those on whom your Lord has mercy and that is why he created them…
Knowledge and science are in Ṭalāq surah (12), ect…” (Refer to the topical interpretation of the holy Quran, a group of writers, the creation purposes discussion.
THE PRINCIPLES AND FOUNDATIONS OF THE EDUCATION:
From Hamd surah, some principles and foundations of the Islamic education can be obtained such as:
The human's requirements (guidance and education);
Human is trainable;
The necessity of human guidance and education;
Human is free to choose the path of his or her life;
The necessity of attention to monotheism dimensions in the education of human;
The necessity of attention to resurrection (day) for human education;
The necessity of educational patterns (God’s leaders);
The correct education and educational deviations have different kinds. In other words, the guidance and devotion of human, his/her enjoyment of blessings and also the human’s fallings and deviations (such as: misguidance and inflicted by God’s anger) have degrees and ranks.
In this case, some books have been written which the educational miracle of the holy Quran has been claimed such as:
Al- Iʻjāz Al_tarbavi in the holy Quran by Doctor Mustafā Rajab, published by JedaraLel Ketab Alalami and Alame Alkotob Alhadith in Ardan.
In this book, first the concept of Quranic education has been explained, and then the role of the holy Quran, the topical interpretation, and the educational content of Quran stories (such as: Nūh story, the children of Israel, the Akhdūd disciples, the Saba tribe, Davood, and Suliman) have been presented.
Afterwards, two verses of the educational miracle have been expressed (Baqarah, verse233 and Maryam, verses41,45).
Also, the book “Faces of Miracle" that has been written by Mohammad Faridhas was published in Beirut. In some cases, the educational miracle has been claimed such as: the verses related to marriage, women, looking after orphans, goodness to parents, and social educational changes that happened in the emergence of the Quran.
The book “the educational miracle in the holy Quran and pure tradition (اعجاز التربوي و النفسي في القران الكريم)”has been written by Abd Al-Rahmān Al ʻisavi and has been published in Birut in 1428, but this book has not been practically engaged in the educational miracle.
The scientific theorizations of the holy Quran in the area of education:
The definition of the scientific theorizations about the holy Quran is accompanied with negligence because the holy Quran expresses some facts that are not deniable and proving theories. Therefore, the above definition is on the basis of the current expression.
The meaning of the scientific theorization of the holy Quran in the area of education is the educational topics that the holy Quran has presented and no one had expressed it before the holy Quran, and even it has not been presented and proved in the educational school after the holy Quran. However, it can be considered as a research topic and action for the educational sciences and can develop and improve the educational sciences.
