Moral principles include
a. Observation of religious rights of colleagues
Observation of religious rights of colleagues is one of examples of observation of rights of people. In fact, persons especially revolutionary devout persons should pay attention that they should have special attempt in observation of people's rights. Imam Sadeq states''مَا عُبِدَ اللَّهُ بِشَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ أَدَاءِ حَقِّ الْمُؤْمِنِ''
b. Fairness
Fairness in social relationships means that we should share benefits with others and in judgment we observe rights of argumentation sides equally. Fairness comes from forgiving and respecting rights of others. The messenger of considers it from signs of a real devout person;''مَنْ واسَي الْفَقيرَ وَانْصَفَ النَّاسَ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ فَذلِكَ الْمُؤْمِنُ حَقّاً''
c. Avoidance of faultfinding
A revolutionary devout must respect rights of colleagues in the organization and must try to preserve their honor and grace because dishonoring a devout is one of haram actions and big sins.Narrating from the messenger of God, Imam Sadeq states
''يَا مَعْشَرَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ بِلِسَانِهِ وَ لَمْ يَخْلُصِ الْإِيمَانُ إِلَى قَلْبِهِ لَا تَذُمُّوا الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَ لَا تَتَبَّعُوا عَوْرَاتِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ تَتَبَّعَ عَوْرَاتِهِمْ تَتَبَّعَ اللَّهُ عَوْرَتَهُ وَ مَنْ تَتَبَّعَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَوْرَتَهُ يَفْضَحْهُ وَ لَوْ فِي بَيْتِهِ''
Imam Baqer states
''أَحِبَّ لِأَخِيكَ الْمُسْلِمِ مَا تُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِكَ ... كُنْ لَهُ ظَهْراً فَإِنَّهُ لَكَ ظَهْرٌ إِذَا غَابَ فَاحْفَظْهُ فِي غَيْبَتِهِ''
Effects of such a behavior in an organizational environment leads to improvement of motivation, mutual trust and brotherhood and organizational behavior.
d. improvement of strong points
One of effective factors in victory and failure is improvement of strong points and removal of weak points in last plans and programs. Ignoring positive points is a problem that is seen in Islamic system. Khamenei statesOf course, in a general point of view, we should be realistic, should not go awry and should not consider only an aspect. We have weak points as well as strong ones and should consider both of them, but sometimes, only weak point is paid attention. Nowadays, unfortunately, there are pessimistic and negative point of views among guardians, political elites and so forth. In fact, they do not see positive points and pay attention to only negative ones.
Khamenei mentions effect of positive points in this way '' these positive points will show us what capacities and facilities we have in the country''.
He also states '' If we rely on positive points, it will be proved that nation of Iran has applied its abilities and has achieved victory although malicious enemies want to prove that Iran nation cannot achieve victory''.
e. Observation of manners in Islamic association
The prophet of Islam states'' إِذَا تَلَاقَيْتُمْ فَتَلَاقَوْا بِالتَّسْلِيمِ وَ التَّصَافُحِ، وَ إِذَا تَفَرَّقْتُمْ فَتَفَرَّقُوا بِالاسْتِغْفَارِ''
Amir Al-Momenin states to Imam Hassan in a will
''وَ أَحْسِنْ إِلَى جَمِيعِ النَّاسِ كَمَا تُحِبُّ أَنْ يُحْسَنَ إِلَيْكَ وَ ارْضَ لَهُمْ مَا تَرْضَاهُ لِنَفْسِكَ وَ اسْتَقْبِحْ لَهُمْ مَا تَسْتَقْبِحُهُ مِنْ غَيْرِكَ وَ حَسِّنْ مَعَ النَّاسِ خُلُقَكَ حَتَّى إِذَا غِبْتَ عَنْهُمْ حَنُّوا إِلَيْكَ وَ إِذَا مِتَّ بَكَوْا عَلَيْكَ وَ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَ إِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ وَ لَا تَكُنْ مِنَ الَّذِينَ يُقَالُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَ اعْلَمْ أَنَّ رَأْسَ الْعَقْلِ بَعْدَ الْإِيمَانِ بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مُدَارَاةُ النَّاسِ وَ لَا خَيْرَ فِيمَنْ لَا يُعَاشِرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ مَنْ لَا بُدَّ مِنْ مُعَاشَرَتِهِ حَتَّى يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَى الْخَلَاصِ مِنْهُ سَبِيلًا فَإِنِّي وَجَدْتُ جَمِيعَ مَا يَتَعَايَشُ بِهِ النَّاسُ وَ بِهِ يَتَعَاشَرُونَ مِلْءَ مِكْيَالٍ ثُلُثَاهُ اسْتِحْسَانٌ وَ ثُلُثُهُ تَغَافُلٌ''
f. Self-sacrifice for colleagues
As it was already mentioned, self-sacrifice means ignoring ourselves and precede others to themselves; this is considered as one of Islamic exalted values. Some persons ignore their property on behalf of others in spite of their need and others sacrifice their life. Such a good feature was seen among the soldiers of Islam in eight-year war of holy defense. In such a situation, selflessness competition was among them and persons that had more self-sacrifice won. When there were not enough facilities, commander deprived of himself and preceded need of his subordinates to himself. One of soldiers wrote about the features of the commander-in-chief '', martyred Hajj Ibrahim Hemmat'' we had operations in the west and in the cold weather of the mountain, we were waiting for overcoats. Before the operations started, Hajj Ahmad had a speech for the forces and after the speech finished, some of them said '' the weather is cold; why haven’t they brought the overcoats? '' Hajj Hemmat said '' God willing, they will bring them and tolerate a bit little more. Afterwards, we had a meeting and one of brothers brought an overcoat for Hajj Hemmat. He said '' it seems that they have brought the overcoats''. The person said '' these are few overcoats that we already had''. Hajj Hemmat said '' so I do not want it and I'll use it later on''. I said '' well, you can wear it until they bring the overcoats for others''. He said '' I will not wear it as long as they have not brought some overcoats for all''.g. Respecting and trusting colleagues
One of the most basic affairs that influences relationships among colleagues is mutual respect and trust. If there is not trust among colleagues, affairs will not only be done and will not have even satisfactory results. In fact, necessity of achieving mutual trust is honesty because Amir Al-Momenin states'' لِيَكُنْ أَوْثَقُ النَّاسِ لَدَيكَ أَنْطَقَهُمْ بِالصِّدْق''
In contrast, a person that tells lie constantly will not only be confirmed, but it will also be an unreliable person.
Khomeini states
''Social life is based on trust and if there is not trust among people, they cannot live together easily. Moreover, trust is based on fideism and honesty. Therefore, a traitor is not a reliable person and is not considered as a member of the society in Utopia. As a consequence, he or she will live in a difficult way''.
If a manger increases sense of trust among colleagues, most of affairs will be accomplished completely and quickly.
h. Praying for improvement and success of colleagues
One of indicators of brotherhood and benevolent spirit is to pray for a devout colleague and his success.
Imam Sadeq states
''دُعَاءُ الْمَرْءِ لِأَخِيهِ بِظَهْرِ الْغَيْبِ يُدِرُّ الرِّزْقَ وَ يَدْفَعُ الْمَكْرُوهَ''
It has been narrated from Imam Sadeq in a Hadith
''أَوْشَكُ دَعْوَةً وَ أَسْرَعُ إِجَابَةً دُعَاءُ الْمَرْءِ لِأَخِيهِ بِظَهْرِ الْغَيْبِ''
i. Solution of financial problems of colleagues
One of trains of Islamic lifestyle is attention of a manager to his employees. Such a thing leads to trust and friendship of employees toward the organization. One of the companions of the messenger of God says '' the prophet always tried to meet needs of destitute persons and he was not arrogant in this affair at all.
Innocent Imams tried to solve the least important problem of persons.
Imam Sadeq states
'' لَقَدْ كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ يَمُرُّ عَلَى الْمَدَرَةِ فِي وَسَطِ الطَّرِيقِ فَيَنْزِلُ عَنْ دَابَّتِهِ حَتَّى يُنَحِّيَهَا بِيَدِهِ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ''
Financial support is not only way of assisting a needy person. In fact, a manager or a colleague can solve problem of someone with his credibility and validity among people. The prophet states
''أَمْسِكُوا رَمَقَ الضَّعِيفِ بِجَاهِكُمْ وَ بِالْمَعُونَةِ لَهُ إِنْ عَجَزْتُمْ عَمَّا رَجَاهُ عِنْدَكُم''
One day, Safwan attended Imam Sadeq. A man that had a problem came to Imam Sadeq and explained it. Imam ordered Safwan to leave there right away and to assist his brother for his problem. After he solved his problem, he came back Imam Sadeq. Imam Sadeq asked his problem and Safwan said '' God has solved my problem''. Imam Sadeq said to him
''أَمَا إِنَّكَ أَنْ تُعِينَ أَخَاكَ الْمُسْلِمَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ طَوَافِ أُسْبُوعٍ بِالْبَيْتِ مُبْتَدِئاً''
Khamenei states
''Imam Ali states to Malek Ashtar '' look for persons that do not communicate to persons like you. In fact, some persons that try to be close to the ruler, Malek Ashtar, and to approach him are so flatterer and have glib tongue and high positions. I do not say whether they are good or bad, but they know how to approach the ruler. But some persons do not know how to approach the ruler, do not have facilities, money and are too shy to do it; search, find such persons and ask about their conditions''.
j. Sharing in sadness and happiness of colleagues
Sharing in sadness and happiness of relatives is one of ways of devotion to relatives, is considered as emotional relationship with them and has an effective role in improvement of kinship relationship. Imam Sadeq states
''التَّواصُلُ بَيْنَ الاخْوانِ في الْحَضَرِ التَّزاوُرُ وَ في السَّفَرِ التَّكاتُبُ''
A devout will share happiness of other persons in taking part in their celebration ceremonies and if a devout is sad, a Muslim will sympathize with him.
k. Patience and tolerance of each other
In social life, persons with different personalities, behaviors and needs communicate to each other. Sometimes, their benefits, needs and spirits collide with each other. In fact, tolerance of each other means ignoring unimportant benefits and giving more value to more basic and important benefits.
In social life such as family and organization, such matters happen a lot and a person faces to ten matters and one of them should be ignored on the behalf of another one. In such situations, tolerance for increase of relationships and achieving exalted purposes have more role.
Imam Ali states
''ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ اسْتَكْمَلَ الْإِيمَانَ مَنْ صَبَرَ عَلَي الظُّلْمِ وَ كَظَمَ غَيظَهُ وَ عَفَا وَ احْتَسَبَ وَ غَفَرَ كَانَ مِمَّنْ يُدْخِلُهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيرِ حِسَابٍ وَ يشَفِّعُهُ فِي مِثْلِ رَبِيعَةَ وَ مُضَرَ''
Imam Sadeq narrates from the messenger of God
''مُدَارَاةُ النَّاسِ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ وَ الرِّفْقُ بِهِمْ نِصْفُ الْعَيش''
Rewards expressed in these Hadiths for patience and tolerance against harassment and confrontation represent encouragement of the devout, especially colleagues, for tolerance and forgiveness of each other.
Of course, if there is a loss for Islam and revolution due to action of some persons in charge, it is recommended that we behave according to moral and emotional principles.
l. Transfer of experience
One of important recommendations of Islam for personal and social affairs in Islam is use of past experiences of ourselves and others. Unsuccessful experiences lead to object lesson and successful experiences lead to a good way for future successes.
Imam Ali (peace be upon him) states
''التَّجَارِبُ عِلْمٌ مُسْتَفَادٌ''
.'' A person should use all of scientific experiences''
Since a devout is revolutionary, he or she should confront with enemies according to their mission constantly and comprehensively. Applying young persons for work and transferring experiences to them at peace are vital and curtail matters.
Emphasizing on coming critical and determinative days of Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini states
''It is necessary that veterans of Jihad and martyrdom should attend in all wars and should not be neglect of the conspiracy of Soviet and America. Even in conditions of renewing armed forces, the most attention should be given to renewing forces, talents and transfer of military and defensive experiences to all of nations and defenders of the revolution. In fact, in time of war, there is not enough time to pay attention to all weak points, plans, programs and depiction of comprehensive defensive strategy. But in common conditions, all of these matters should be paid attention tolerantly and friendly''.
Beitolmal (treasury)
It was already discussed about personal properties, what is gained with work, trouble and effort, and it was concluded that the Islamic lifestyle is moderation and avoidance of going extremes. It also recommends that a revolutionary devout should pay attention to and follow contentment in the life.
Such a matter becomes more important about state properties and beitolmal (treasury) because persons can own their personal properties, but Islam does not allow them to be prodigal. We should know that a revolutionary devout is a kind of trustee and treasurer and if they damage beitolmal (treasury), they will be responsible for them.
